Junkmanryan,
It looks like a Lakeside. They were made mostly for Montgomery Wards. I've seen them with Lakeside, MW, or nothing on the casting. Any stampings on it?
Nothing on it whatsoever.

Are you referring to the vise in your post #39123?
The vise in #39123 is a No. 6, not a No. 60. The model 60 is a swivel jaw. The swivel jaw is a much less common model then the fixed jaw. BTW - I posted a No. 6 in the Wilton date thread dated 1953.
What your friend has is very rare, a mis-marked Wilton No. 6.
As has been said, Wilton must have had stuff laying around and used it as they found it - every now and then someone has to get to the bottom of the bin...

Could also be a Howard Iron Works. They used Parker style jaws, too.
Freshened up this old craftsman over the weekend.

It's looking like some one may have been bitten by the vise bug!

I really dig that little blue one! Nice vise.
(I hope that is correct usage of little. I have been corrected in the past.)
Back on page 1935 and 1936, from post 38694 to 38708, we had a lengthy discussion about Columbians and Malleable steel, and if there were any damaged Columbians made of malleable steel.---I found one of them with a hole in the tower, that I had seen before.---I don't know how to just repost the pics but you can see it on page 12, post 221.---If anyone is interested.

I keep finding these mini vises. You might think that I could pass them by, but you'd be wrong. The new vise the blue vise has 1 1/4 inch jaws. The red mini was collected a few days ago. It's has 1 inch jaws. They are both rear dynamic jaws.

I think it's safe to call either of these vises "little". "Tiny" might be more accurate.

What the heck ! That poor Columbian!
It looks like Ellen Ripley and the Colonial Space Marines used that vise to clamp an Alien and dissect it.!
crs, you need to post those in the tiny tools thread!

I am now a member of the cool vise club. York 150 for $30. Canadian.
Beside the Mastercraft 5" that it will replace.
That York is BADASS!!! Wow! Cool vise. Is it as big as it looks (no,beer can for scale)?
$30 canadian. nice score! How'd u swing that deal?
I replaced the original Parker screw clip with one of my own devising so the screw runs like butter, and has minimal backlash as well. But, the original clip is included.

There's an ACME tool co. Made in New York, bullet vise for sale near me. Looks identical to a Wilton. What's the deal?

Here's a quick summary of my Record 634, snapped it up for £50 just up the road from me. Not in such bad condition, just missing some vice jaws and a lick of paint.
