What's the best deal on the Milwaukee 2530-20 saw?

Just learned about it and I think I'd like to have one. I don't like circular saws as it is but the light weight and lack of cord appeals to me for the light duty cuts I'd use it for. Already have a bunch of M12 batteries.

I've been on the hunt for this saw too. Some folks are reporting price drops of the saw to $105 (was previously $120 on clearance). However, the stores around me that had them for $120 have taken them off clearance and they're back up to $149.

If you can find a store with one for $105, you could get it with the Dewalt kit ($369) and you be in at just under $72 for the saw. Might even be able to get them to stack a 10% Lowes coupon and get it even cheaper.

If you can only find it for $149, with the same Dewalt kit, you'd be into the saw at just under $106.

Makita XT257TB kit price drop!!! Reg $399, marked down to $329. Buy the Ryobi 4v twist screwdriver with it to trigger the 150 off promo. Return the Ryobi and end up paying around $205.00 tax included. Throw in a Lowe's 10% off coupon for a sub $200 price!

I scored this kit tonight with the newly discounted $79 DeWalt 20V Blower (DCE100B) and the Lowe's 10% off coupon, total out the door was less than $230!

Not sure what to do with the Makita kit as I don't need it. Probably going to return it and keep my new $44 DeWalt blower.

Yes, prices are store only on these items. In my phone conversation with a couple local Home Depots, that blower is going to be online item only after the holiday. What is left in the stores is it and has been discounted to sell.

Just a heads up for anyone getting a heated jacket or vest with this promotion. Milwaukee is also offering a free battery with any of the heated "kits". The 3 in 1 kits qualify for a free speaker, or lantern or spot light.

Just a fyi as this deal does make the heated kits a bit more reasonable. I'm personally trying a heated vest.

Keep in mind, last year the heated hoodies made it down to the $38.** clearance price before they were finally gone around here. Didnt always get your pick of sizes, but for such a good deal you could try to get a bigger one and shrink it.

Yes, tried searching last year for one only a few stores carried them in stock. This year I have not seen any local stores with heated gear in the Atlanta Area. So for those of us needing something for this season, this is probably the best deal as I have never seen them discounted or offered with extra battery

The Makita kit was down to $329 at one of my local stores and I grabbed the last one. I just want the batteries for the TD148DZ (Japanese market) driver I got on eBay.

Now I need to figure out if I should sell the whole kit (minus batteries) or part it all out.

So I went to another HD while I driving around killing time at work.. Goto the clearance rack and find the gen1 hammer drill kit 2604-22 with a tag for HALF the price.. Marked for $150... Couldn't believe it. Grabbed the $369 dewalt kit, and it brought the price down to $101 or $106 for the Milwaukee drill..

Got outside - and the guy I work with says you better open that up and check it out.. Lol.. Sure enough - I open the kit and someone replaced the 4.0 batteries with 3.0 batteries and returned it. Honestly - I don't even care.. I'm keeping the new drill, and both batteries, - placing my used 2604 up for sale on eBay with the new case, charger, and handle to cover the cost of buying it... Even though I got shafted - I'm still happy.. Lol

Anyone think Ridgid Brushless Compact Hammer Drill/Driver and Circular Saw Combo Kit LINKY might drop anymore than $150 price that it is in store now after Christmas/New Years maybe? Store's still have plenty around but will keep checking on stock.

Thinking about grabbing it for work even though I shouldn't have to supply it. Have the Fuel stuff for my personal use at home and doing other work. Decent deal right now with the Dewalt Kit and this for the discount buy hey anymore off helps

I saw that a number of the combo kits at Home Depot have dropped in price. I'm not sure if any of them that trigger the deal dropped in price.

Buy it now and don't open it. If it drops in price buy it again and return the more expensive one. That's the easiest way to avoid missing out.

Unloaded my Snap-On 18v cordless drill and 14.4 3/8" impact last night and snagged the M18 Fuel impact driver, hammer drill, 1/2" impact gun and a lantern. Looking forward to testing them out!

I went with the 6.5" myself for 2 reasons: 1. its left hand blade and 2. I have a worm drive 7.25" if I really need power.

Most of the work I do with circ saw is on 2x or sheet goods.....6.5" size is perfectly fine for it. For heavier duty stuff Ill just pull out the corded worm drive.

It looks like the Makita kit with the two 5.0 amp batteries is now the cheapest combo kit in-store that triggers the $150 off. It is down to $329.99 at stores near me, but still $399.99 online.

Does anyone have the model number for the makita kit with the 4.0 batteries? I was looking for it in store but couldn't find it.

A few people have posted that they had seen the 6.5 on clearance (if I read correctly) - if that were the case at the stores around me - probably would've grabbed that. The 7.25 was down to $199 and after promo/5% HD card walked out for $139 - meh.

I hope i don't regret not getting a left hand blade - wonder why they'd switch from model to model (hit more of the market?). Got the bigger one as its my only circ.

Just an FYI for everyone - store clerk told me that lowes is stopping their 5% on 1/1/16 and that HD will be matching that policy until 1/25/16. Don't know if that was common knowledge or not - but, it was news to me. Wonder if new pricing will go down to make up for that? (Haha yeah right Hahahahahahahahahhaa)

I've got the now-old-school V28 6.5" left blade and love it, mostly because of the left blade & light weight relative to a corded saw. If I ever get the M18 it'll also be the same setup. In a cordless circular I just don't need a 7.25" blade.

NOW, that said, I'm a metalworker. All I do w a wood circular is cut up pallets or sometimes rough-cut 2x4's for the occasional crude chock, box or temporary support.

Can somebody tell me if this kit comes with the 2.0 batteries? The image on the HD website appears to be 2.0 batteries but I can't be sure.

What is the sku for the makita kit you are talking about?
I live in Minneapolis and I cant find the Makita Combo kit that triggers the discount with the
Ridgid combo Kit (which is down from $179 to $149 now)
RIDGID
Model # R9206
Internet # 206127576
Store SKU # 1001465441
18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Brushless Compact Hammer Drill/Driver and Circular Saw Combo Kit

Also: cant we send in the receipt for the Menards 11% rebate price match and save another 11%?

Thanks

Online vs in-store is not 100% the same. There is a lot more things that will work in store than will work online. So don't worry about what doesn't work online. I just bought something that didn't work online but worked in store.

That would be perfect and end up at about $110 for the ridgid combo and then 11% off of that for the Menards match and ends up under $100 plus tax
A Very Sweet Deal Indeed

I have the Fuel 7 1/4 one, used once and it is very nice. I wanted the 7 1/4 to replace my corded saw, supposedly it beats many corded saws. Figure I will pickup the M12 smaller version.
