So I ended up stopping by today before work... I ended up picking up the M18 2620-21 Sawzall Kit. Not the Fuel, but a great deal.

Clearance price was $138.00. Was the display unit but came with battery, charger, hard case, and a few scuffs. Will return the Dewalt kit on Friday... I was half temped to just go back in once I hit the parking lot, but didn't. Wife knew a lady behind the returns counter.

I found the same sawzall kit for $138, but mine was new in box. Got the 2897 kit and used $25 Lowes coupon.

My Home Depots will not stack the Lowes coupon on top of the $150 off deal.
Go through HD website chat... They offered 10% off as first time customer kind of deal..
Just ask them if they will take Hf or Lowe's coupon and they say no but will offer one time courtesy of 10% off. Also depends on which csr Yu get.. Ymmv

Have you guys noticed stores stopping this promotion (per the 1/6 expiration talked about above)? There was a local store with the brushless Makita kit in stock, I called this morning and the hardware guy said they took down the promotion display and that the promo had ended.

Not worth me getting online at $70 higher in price, was just wondering if this could've just been this one store that ended the promotion or if it was across the board.

Yes.. In store ended.. But online is still good till 1/31..so do online order for store pickup to that location with stock. And if you do online chat first, some nice csr will offer 10% off.. Ymmv with csr.

Grabbed a few Ridgid's -

GEN5X 18-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/4 in. Cordless Impact Driver Kit - After Promo discount $52.55 I know it's not the new Brushless one but for the price not bad.

Also got this

18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Brushless Compact Hammer Drill/Driver and Circular Saw Combo Kit - After promo discount $105.08

The Hammer Drill/Saw is $149 instore but I ordered online and when the pickup email came through it changed the price from $179 to $149 and then gave the promo.

Used Cash Back site for 5.1% so about $165 total after taxes for those.

Sold off some of my older Dewalt 18v tools offset price and will bring these to work now since my Fuel stuff stays home or for solo job's. Tool's walk away on large jobsite and I can't be next to them all day sometime's.

Just need a Sawzall now. Might also get the Jobsite Blower.

Has anyone had a csr offer a gift card instead of the promo instant discount? How would this factor into returning one of the items?

The $119 radio? Yes, says so in the Home depot product details...
Powered by all M18 batteries or A/C outlet (battery not included) up to 12 hours run time with an M18 5.0Ah battery

The $199 radio? Seems to be a yes as well. Though it doesn't mention in in the product details. found 2 sources referencing that it does play off M18 batteries.

Nice! Thanks for posting this, I'm going to get down there and try to get the Makita kit this weekend.
I tried to sweet-talk the online reps to price match the in-store price on the Makita, but they wouldn't go for it. They did offer me 5% off though! :fawk:

The $199 radio is the only M18 radio that charges batteries. The $119 M18 radio does not charge batteries and also doesnt have bluetooth.

Tomorrow is the last day of this promo.

Anyone else have a big hassle with this? I made two online orders including the dewalt 20v max kit and one other tool I intended to keep. Had the dewalt kits sent to a different store than the tools I wanted.

Picked up the tools I wanted, then called the store with the other kits and told them to cancel the order. Easy right? wrong.

After going back home I tried to order another kit/tool combo. Would not take my payment info. Then the next day I decided to return one of the bare tools I bought and the register wouldnt take it. I am now waiting on "several" help center people to tell me what the hell is going on.

Very annoying. How can I not return a tool when I am standing there with it and the receipt?

I didn't have any hassle. I stopped at one Home Depot to do a price exchange for the two I bought last week. then went to a different home depot, bought two more kits, put them in my truck and walked right back in and returned the Ryobi drivers.

Makita kit dropped to $249 in Champaign, il. I got a price adjustment for my purchase last week of $279. There is one kit left in the store if anyone is interested.

I've returned up to 12 kits at once. Besides the weird look and wondering what in the world you're doing with so many, no issues.

Wanted to get the 3/8 Milwaukee impact bare tool, but looks OOS EVERYWHERE

some of the in store price drops are showing online now for the kits so might want to check online. Didn't check the Makita kit since I found one in store yesterday but both the dewalt and Milwaukee kits are showing up $349 in cart before discount.

Just bought the m18 kit for $225 OTD after returning the second tool. the roybi 4v screwdriver triggered it in this store.

Placed my final order under this promo. Milwaukee kit that dropped to 349 + the gen 2 hammer drill, brought the gen 2 drill price down to 105

Ordered online for in store pickup to use 5% cashback through Discover Deals.

Hoping to sell my unused gen 1 drill to cover the price of the new drill. Returning the Milwaukee kit itself.

Is this promo still working? It doesn't seem to be on this end (mobile issue?)
