Welcome to the "Swedish workshop in a old brewery"-thread
Been looking around here for about a year now & i've gotten many gr8 ideas from you guys during the time.
My name is Joachim, 26 years old and live with my girlfriend in southern Sweden.
We both work at the same business, an american owned pump industry with around 1200 employees here in the factoty, loys and lots more world wide. Well payed by working class standards here in Sweden.
Between 2009-2015 I rebuilt and renovated my first home, wich I sold in june 2015 because my girl and I had been looking for something bigger and we also wanted a big garage/work shop.
We found, bought and got acces to our new property 1 july 2015. In 1900-1970 the first owners had a brewery at the property, before they moved they tore down most part of the brewery, but they kept the building that now is our garage. We spent the first 3 weeks by clearing all the **** at the property (P-O liked to hoard everything he got over) we also had to put down like a week for gardening stuff as lawnmowing, cutting trees, bushes etc just to be able to move in our own stuff.
When it was all cleared out we began to tore down and redo the electricity, inner roofing, walls, floors and trim inside the house. Even changed all the old lousy windows to new white PVC windows. Within a few mounths we finished (my last house took me 5-6 years to finish, and the new is twice as big, Iguess a nagging girlfriend helps sometimes
) and I was able to start putting in more hours making the garage more user friendly
We also have 3 more rooms (bed rooms), bathroom and a WC, but got no pics on them.
Both me and the gf (whos name is Ida btw) likes to work on cars and everything in between. I own a Volvo 940 -95 wich I have rebuilt to be a pretty neat daily drifter, and Ida is more of a cleaning/washing/styling-girl
The Volvo 940
I've had several different cars since I got a drivng license in 2008, Bmw, Mercedes, Vw, Jeep, but closest to the heart is still old volvo cars. I think i might've had somewhere around 40-45 vehicles, maybe 35 of them volvos. My dream car is probably a 60's old pickup truck that I'm gonna install a newer diesel engine and drivetrain.

Mercedes E-class diesel wagon with coils and bigger wheels
Volvo 740 daily cruiser
Volvo V70 daily driver
etc etc...
My current daily is a Volkswagen Passat wagon -02

I will be uploading some before/after pics of my first house, some of the old and current cars, our new house, the garage etc as soon as I sorted out all the pics.
