Just read it all - subbed now, awesome build man - headed to stance to read taht one now![]()
Congrats on making the front page amigo. If the zombie apocalypse holds off for a little while, your house may make the front page again, when you finish the build. (not holding my breath....jk)

Oh Dear GOD, your Porsche thread is an amazing soon to be featured on the big screen comedy!!!! Okay I will start at the beginning of this thread now and try not to put any nails through my fingers tomorrow while I finish trimming out all of the windows due to exhaustion. Keep going for the love of that hot mess you have in the garage. We have to see where it ends up.
Thanks Mac... i clicked your thread but all the pics are dead? Finally made it to the end. Makes every building project I have "paid for" look minor.
Beautiful house, anxious for your first garage build out post.
My parents and wife are from Capilla de Gpe, between Arandas and Tepatitlan. I have sime friends from Jalos but Im such an antisocial being. I would rather be diaharretic than drnking alcohol on the street listening to 6 bands at the same time while some dancing nuts kick me in back. [emoji38]Just spent a couple of days clicking through the thread, awesome stuff.
My parents Recently built a house in their hometown, Jalostotitlan.
Though much less baller than your budget, your process pictures reminded me of when their house was being built.
Nunca has ido a las fiestas de jalos en febrero y agosto?
I had to laugh out loud (ok, so might been Turets) several times in this thread. The saga is almost painful at times, but your wit makes every page truly entertaining. Your writing in this and the Porsche thread is easily the best I've ever encountered in a forum. Every paragraph prickles with irony and innuendo in a most delightful way. (Apologies, Mary Poppins).
I finished a 10K sq/ft commercial build (my business build) 2 yrs back and your trial here makes mine feel like a cakewalk. I almost cried seeing what became of the vertical garden. To see the last month's progress is a real testament to your perseverance, and pocketbook! Because my shop was featured a while back, and you have referred to yourself as "an attention *****", do we need to establish some kind of secret virtual handshake?
Great thread!
Oh my goodness! I read every post and I can't believe my eyes. The awesomeness contained in this story could power a small city for... well, about as long as this house has taken to build. Very well done!

castlek.com is awesome in itself.
btw your Porsche blog about the goat.....I peed
Great to see your project get back on track and moving forward. You have quite an eye for design. Beautiful place coming along.
I also cruised through your stanceworks thread last night, you are one funny mofo

I have to ask, how old are you?
- at the design, then I was pissed
- at all the set backs, and now I'm happy

Holy ****, that only took 3 hours to read this whole thing!
At first I was stunned- at the design, then I was pissed
- at the neighbor, then I was discouraged
- at all the set backs, and now I'm happy
- for your soon to be moving in!
Now whenever I hear the term, "The further I go, the behinder I get" I'll instantly think of this thread!!
Love your sense of humor and seriously doubt you would have gotten this far without it! I'm off to read the Stance thread.![]()
Just found your build featured on the front page. Congrats. I'm still on page one but had to comment. Absolutely love the design and layout of your home.
Looks and sounds like this will be an interesting ride so off to page one to read your saga.
Edit: I see the two guest bedrooms have two beds each. I guess that's for al of us GJers to come visit?

AWESOME. I will just stop there, and subscribe.
I like this thread.

I have not posted any updates because right now the only things happening are paint and carpentry work.
Welcome

I have not posted any updates because right now the only things happening are paint and carpentry work.
However today I went and measured for position of sinks and mixers, since this was my "idea" contractor wanted me to have full responsibility over position
I mocked everything up and drew lines on the holes to be cut.

The nice detail on the behind the spouts will be covered by the mirrors. I'm working on my zen to forget it, I must live with a hole that I can't see but I know its there. I think I will be fine, I don't think all day about my ******* and its a similar situation, just hairy.![]()

why post a private video link?
Maybe it wasn't private in 2013![]()

I too have joined the extraordinary entertaining link you've posted! Although I'm only onto page 3, this is absolutely hilarious how you depict every detail! Kudos to for finding humor with all the unfortunate scenarios with automobile 101's.

Epic Thread. Easily worth the few hours of my life.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Very nice home...![]()
Just read your thread on the 944-924 goat mobile. Awesome! My regards to Dr. F.
