Whipped up a jig from repurposed Ikea bed slats to make para-cord bracelets etc. A bit cold to spend too much time out there!

Not too much in the shop today. Started on the astro van transfer case. Didn't get real far on that as I noticed some play in the rear pinion. So I popped the cover off to find the spider gears are starting to go, probably because of 225 on one side and 235 on the other. I stopped there as I was expecting a call from the boss around 10 am. He calls and says I need to go and look at the loader for electrical problems again and one truck won't start. Go out by the loader and do some tweaking the mess that is the wiring. On to the '98 Chevy that won't start. The yard is by a river and I'm told when ever its park there, its a *****. It tries to start but won't. I'm thinking cap and rotor. Pull a plug, wet as ****. So outside on a 25° day, new cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Gravy job and once working, not too cold. Fires right up, good. Back home to straighten and weld up bent mounting brackets on plow wings. Going to grab a bite to eat and if there is any motivation, go back to the astro for a while.

Rebuilt my master cylinders even down to new anti slip pads and assembled my new upper A frames. Purchased a new seat, used valve covers and 3 new tires yesterday in Indianapolis.

Was driving the Ramcharger yesterday and the break pedal started to fade. Checked the brake master cylinder and had to add fluid but didn't see any leaks after a quick look under the vehicle. I didn't like it but I figured maybe I just needed fluid.
Went out this morning and sure enough brake fluid all over the ground around the left rear wheel. I knew it a blown wheel cylinder. So of to the parts store and picked up some parts and started a quick brake job.
Yeah right.....When I was taking the wheel cylinder out the metal line broke.:scared::shocking::scared::shocking: Sunday afternoon and I have to replace a metal brake line for a vehicle I have to drive tomorrow. No pressure there. Well I managed to find the line and get the job completed.

Every plow truck I have touched this year needed either, brake lines, wheel cylinders or masters. Getting real tired of fighting rusted to hell bleeders.

I took the shop light above my workbench down and took it apart. I'm going to replace the crappy T12 bulbs with some ballast-bypass LEDs and install a longer cord. Going to buy bulbs tomorrow.

Thank you. It has been a long time getting it equipped and setup to where it is now.

Are you by any chance over on JeepForum as well? I thought I remember seeing a username like yours over there.

Mike.

I put a couple ladder hooks on the wall so I can stop tripping over the extension ladder & the 6 footer.
I also discovered that the roll of copper tubing I bought can't even *close* to make the radius bend I need to plumb the air compressor I'm tinkering with. Hope I'll use it for something else some time. Think I'll put a new check valve in the tank & have a hose made.

Worked on changing the CVT trans fluid on my Daughters 2013 Accord. Drained the water out of my 80 gallon compressor, cleaned the air filter also. This forum has really got me inspired to make more improvements in my shop. Now to replaced that leaky air hose...

Where did you get the spare tank?
Tundra - I picked it up at Princess Auto for $50. It was in the used and or returns area. I think the compressor head had been scrapped and they were selling what was left. It was a mobile unit and I cut off the wheels and handles. They sell the complete unit for about $500.

Lucky, nice find. I'll have to check every time I go to a princess auto then. They used to sell new tanks in the past but haven't for a few years now.

Do you have an electric snow blower? Does it work well? Your driveway looks great. I have never seen snow blowers for sale in Richmond and of course we get a similar amount of snow.

Yeah, I ordered it in July. It is a Snow Joe 21". It was under powered for what it needed to do, but this was a lot bigger snowfall than we normally get. It did work in the long run though.

I'm currently "garageless" while we are preparing to build new house and garage, but I wheeled this into my garage away from home:

-got the recoil starter replaced on the snow blower. fired up and ready to rock. Annnnnnnd no snow expected in the Midwest. Ohwell.

- Finally got the bushing off of the torsion arms on my 65 VW beetle beam and painted up some hardware. hopefully it sticks. It was only about 50 degrees in the glorified shed.

Finished this shelving unit up and put a couple coats of paint on it. Then fabbed up some brackets it to lag it to the ceiling for "peace of mind". If it tips over, it'll hit the wife's Explorer.

Hey my name is scott, I'm from central ohio I've been lurking here for awhile like seeing everyone's work and just wanted to introduce myself, I'm a normal working guy I do road work I've got a knack for repurposing, thinking outside the box, and have a moderate tool addiction. A terrible flea market problem, can't seem to stop hitting auctions. Lol finally got a 120 gallon lp tank hooked up to the "barn" today. It's in a state of evolution from a bunch of small chopped up sections to a working open platform. I love things that are well made, show wear, or stump me. My opinion is The best things you will ever own were already built. Any way I'll start throwing up some photos of random various projects. Thanks all.
