I made this over the past several days. My first wood project. I just used pallet wood. Only thing I needed was is $18 for the hooks.

This is a picture of my wife and I helping our grandson apply racing stripes to a car I am building for him. It is a 1/2 scale Austin Healey bug eye Sprite. To my knowledge it is one of two known to exist. It is powered by a 12 volt Lithium ion battery and has an electric motor on each rear wheel. The next step is for grandma to finish he upholstery.

A half scale Bugeye doesn't seem to be much smaller than a full scale Bugeye.

Nice project and one lucky kid.

Removed the dash on the GT3 991 to add a center net and steering sensor. Started the wrap.

I am in the process of rebuilding and installing the extra steering box for my Cuda...tonight I started pulling the header (to pull out the worn out box) and install new manifolds.

Also had to separate the center link and tie rod in order to get the header off.

So really not much, but it was the right amount of time to release a little stress!

How many $ does a wrap like that cost?
I probably shouldn't call it a wrap because it is much more then that. It actually looks and acts like paint and holds up a lot better the vinyl wrap. It's called AERO Advance Paint Technology http://rethinkpaint.com/ and we are lucky enough to be sponsor by them. To tell you the truth I have no idea what it cost but I asked that same question today and was told for a car like ours with all the graphic around 4-5k.

Worked on the wiring on the KTM a bit more. Got the headlight connector wired up and worked on the tail light/rear turn signal wiring. Need to pick up some wire to finish up the tail.

Also got the new 45 tooth sprocket on the street setup and the new chain cut to length for the dirt setup. Still need to get the chain cut to length for the street setup.

Got the Mercedes W116 of a friend ready to roll out. They restored the car, but couldn't get the power sunroof to work. After a mayor disassembly, I found out they bent the guide tube really bad. After that was fixed and all lubed up, it works like 40 years ago when the car rolled out of the factory here in Sindelfingen.
I also reupholstered the drivers seat, cause the factory springs were totally without tension and you literally sat on the floor.
Now he's one happy camper...

I got the garage door back on the rails because my other half wasn't patient enough in her 36 DAY old car to let the garage door go all of the way up. I actually routinely warn her not to hit my car parked in the driveway with her car when she backs up... I did today. The list of things I have to warn her not to hit is growing.

The worst part is that when it comes to cars... Never mind... Moping about it here won't help.

I've got some weather stripping to fix this summer now. And some prying of the outer panel sheeting back inside the door's own flashing or frame.

Well now she's marked this one as hers. Hopefully she doesn't do that again. She's fortunate it wasn't worse.

Finally found a day to add a shield and light to the snowblower. Hopefully no more snow in the pie hole when wind kicks it back.

Parked Otto in his crate. Lit the Dingo and spent the day landscraping on the "back 40" . Gotta love mid 40's in the middle of February. Pulled the Dingo back inside. Grabbed Otto and his leash and took him out to check out the freshly sculpted earth.

I am sorry, but thanks for the laugh !

Glad someone finds it amusing. I'm looking for my own personal silver lining... Haven't found it yet.

Best I got is " I'll get to learn how to (reverse) Un-F anything a Toyota Highlander can do." Project one is garage door and seal.

Let's see :
Washed The Tacoma, Changed oil and filter , air filter, greased , rotated tires cleaned the sulfates off the battery and promptly killed it checking lights after I replaced a marker light damn things were on for 5 minutes before my priority start kicked everything off. I guess 5 years is max for an OEM battery. Looking like 200 plus for a new one still debating which to get. I did get to scare the **** out of myself had the back up on stands and jacked the front up was putting the stands under and heard a deep metal pop. Backed out quick bumping my head on the valance. Poking and prodding around I found it was the skid plate shifting .. Whew. After that said yep done for the day .

have had this old slow speed high torque drill for a while.
Mor-Power distributed by Canadian Tire

got it a few years ago , tonight decided to;
disassemble, clean, media blast, wire wheel, regrease, assemble and put back on the shelf to last another lifetime.

some grease was very dirty, yet some seemed to never been run though the gears.

looking good as new

-Got the garage door working again. Had a problem a few months ago, and the door opener stopped working, the chain broke, it was such an old opener that I wasn't able to find a replacement, and it was only a 0.25 hp motor, so I decided to upgrade - better removes, an keypad for the exterior, and the safety sensor to prevent injury at the opening. Anyway, life was good for about 2 - 3 months, and then all of a sudden the door would not open. I looked at the pulleys, looked at the cables, and then went to look at the torsion springs, but didn't know how my system worked - thanks for a five minute YouTube search, and a 3 minute video I was off to the races. Reset my spring tension, had the door opening and closing easily, then re mounted the hardware for that attaches the door to the opener and boom, success...I totally don't understand why more people don't do things on their own. Had I called a repair person, it would've been a couple hundred bucks.

Well, I suppose if I had more money, I would've called someone, but necessity is the best motivator. Hope you all have a great rest of the weekend.

Put up 2 shop lights, converted (2) older fluorescent lights to 4' LED tubes. Took out the ballasts, hard wired them, insert LED and SHAZAM they are bright.

Also, rewired my 7-pin plug. It wasn't working. So, now it's under the tail where it is supposed to be. Originally it was in the bed, PO had gooseneck. But it was wired wrong for my uses. So, installed new 7-pin underneath. Ran 12v to an accessory box in the bed. And out a new 4" Hella rubberized back up light under the truck and made it switchable inside the bed so when you want to work on hooking up a trailer, it can double as a work light or reverse light. Very handy.

Tomorrow is new LED bed lights. Hard wire the new flashlight charger and if I'm lucky, install my Insullation on my end walls.

Man that came out nice everyone's all about the cordless these days 400 a set when is the last time you wrote out a quality corded tool. I went to upgrade my old porter cable variable throw jigsaw because I've been having roublue finding the style j blades was disgusted with my options. Rebuild not replace the best things you'll ever own were made 50 + years ago

Tried to work on the phone from hell. Self coiling airline started cracking. Switched line. It split spirally. Taped up the cracked one so I could continue. Auto drain trigger line popped. Said screw it and went for a long stagger with Otto. He's sleeping it off in his crate. I'm going out for prime rib.

wandered in to look for my sharpening stone to dress up my EDC knife. Not there, must be in my home workshop. Sharpening will have to wait - I had a nap instead :)

That drill looks like a real arm twister, at least my arm has been twisted a few times with similar drills. Nice job.
