The SO's look real similar to the Nepros
Makes sense; that's what I figured.
That would be nice, if you don't mind. We do not have any SO HP pics on this thread yet. The pics on SO's website are not very good.![]()
If you want the best of all worlds check out the Matco zero degree long ratcheting box wrenches. Snap On does not offer these yet, but they are coming.

+1 on the zero offset. There are times that they are the only thing that will reach without removing a bunch of ****.
Sure, I understand, I wish all the brands had high res shots of their stuff. As much as the Sears site *****, the zoom feature they have (when it is working) is nice.

Let me know if there is anything specifc you want to see...I can throw in some other wrenches for comparison as well. (like a standard SO combo to compare the HP box beam to a standard SO beam and have the cornwell there too.)
I would like to compare beam width and box end thickness. Also, do the SO's have sharp or rounded beam edges? Are the handle edges nicely rounded?![]()
Even though the sale has passed, do you think he would still consider selling the metric set for $250? If so, I think I would have to jump at that deal. At $250, the Cornwell set is not only more complete than the SO set, but also less coin. And they are longer.![]()
rgates - At least in my 07/08 catalog, they are only offered in 10mm-15mm in the high performance long beams...and the fixed end is 15 degree offset.
Any word on when the SO version is coming out?
Hmmm...I wonder if a Cornwell dealer would do a group buy on these...perhaps also the XL metric combos?
I sent you a PM with my dealers info. I will ask him on Monday.

If there was an interest I would ask my dealer. BB26 appears to want a set and I am going to ask on Monday if my dealer will do the 250.00 on the metric set for him. Let me know if you also want me to ask for you.
Klars ,you are looking in the wrong place, here is the Matco set. These are very nice, one of my favorites.

* Extra long beam for increased access
* Sizes included are 10mm-19mm
Part#: SRFBZXLM102T Price: $401.65
Snap On has some new engineering they are putting into there new o degree set. No word on when, but it is coming.

I have the GearWrench branded SAE set. I believe the Matco's are the same exact wrenches, just stamped with a different logo. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
Not a GearWrench brand, nor does it have any affiliation with Danaher. As far as I can tell, any ratcheting wrench utilizing a set screw for the gear pawl is a product of Kabo. Their products are also found in Blue Point/Snap-on, Mac Edge, and SK.
BB26....let me know if you need some measurements from my calipers on beam width or box diameter.
Some observations...
The cornwell, I think, in my hands in the nicest to handle. It doesn't seem vastly thicker in the beam in this size (the difference more noticeable in the larger sizes IMO)
Notice on the higher performance wrench, where the beam terminates into the box the beam flares up higher on the box end. This may have some advantages strength wise. This is really noticeable in the next to last picture.
Measurements are not necessary; the pics tell me what I need to know. I originally thought rgates was referring to the top set in this Matco link, which is a Danaher product and the same as my Gearbox set.
Thanks KLars. You da man!Measurements are not necessary; the pics tell me what I need to know.

Klars, that's some damn fine tool pr0n
I contacted my Cornwell Dealer this morning and he said that he would sell the metric set for 275.00 and he could have them drop shipped to your home. He also said that he would have to charge sales tax. I do not think this is much of a deal. If it was me I would wait for them to go on sale again and buy them at the 225.00 price. If you are interested in SAE that set is on sale this month for 150.00, normally 200.00. Sorry guys, I thought he would do much better on the price.

I am going to hold off until they go on sale again. IMO, a $50 savings is worth waiting for. A big thanks to bushhawg for checking into this for us.For now, I still live in envy of his wrench set.

Thanks for taking the time to check into this bushhawg, for your fellow garage junkies! How often have you seen these go on sale?

So BB26...this thread contributed to you selecting the cornwells over the SOs?
