Years ago I began buying some Craftsman Industrial tools. So far I have rounded up quite a few. Currently I have both SAE and metric sockets and wrenches. My screwdrivers, pliers, punches & chisels, etc. are the same made in USA Craftsman tools that Sears sells.

Why are you posting a bunch of stock pictures?

They are nice clear pictures. Besides, I would have to dig all of this stuff out and take pictures of them. LOL!

Am I the only person in here with Craftsman Industrial hand tools?

So you own all of these, correct? I need that tape measure. How do you like it. I'll go see what I've got and take some pics.

Looks like a lot of standard Craftsman stuff to me.

Like I said earlier I bought some of the stuff like screwdrivers, pliers, chisels, etc. from Sears. A lot of the stuff Sears sells is in the Craftsman Industrial catalogs. The wrenches, and socket sets are Craftsman Industrial brand tools.

You say industrial but lots of the stuff pictured is the professional line, aren't they two different lines? Or am I wrong?

Yep! I have been assembling this set over the past few years and some of the tools do have Craftsman Professional on them. The nice screwdrivers and pliers are from those discontinued lines. Like I said earlier, the socket sets, and wrenches are Craftsman Industrial tools.

Here's a picture of some open stock 1/2" drive Craftsman Industrial sockets I purchased. The round head ratchet was purchased a few years ago. I have a bunch of open stock metric sockets tucked away somewhere.

The kit with the tape measure was purchased so I can add the tape to the set I am assembling. Maybe a few more metric wrenches and metric hex keys might be all I add to the set.

I got the professional screwdrivers today at a Sears Outlet. They had a big box full of them. Some made in USA ETR 3/8" drive deep SAE sockets were bought at the outlet also.

What tools would you add to the set to complete it?

Oh, your stuff is all brand new. No wonder you used the stock photos.
Anyway, for what to add, it depends if your kit is stationary
or a mobile kit.
You're gonna need some pliers either way though.

I don't think they do anymore was looking for a 6 point set. Luck' out and a sae set on here that was for sale. Guess there is not much of a demand for 6 point wrenches. But I could be wrong.

Most of my Craftsman Industrial stuff. The majority of all my other tools are regular Cman USA, Cman Professional and GearWrench.

Do they make a combination wrench set with 6 point box ends ?

Looks like there is a 14pc metric set 6mm - 19mm

FYI - There is a discrepancy between descriptions.

I like the thread, and some of you guys have some great collections of Cman Industrial tools, but I'm not sure why the OP essentially posted a bunch of photos that depict tools that aren't his..... Did I miss something? Anyway, here's what I have; one set of SAE combo wrenches that range in size from 1/4" to 1". I got them a few years ago when Sears had sets on clearance at their outlet stores. By the time I got to the outlet near my house, the selection was pretty well picked over. Still, I was happy to get this set at a good price.

Hey Travis!! Good to hear from you. I think you've been "sand bagging" us, and letting us think that you're a serious Channellock collector only. However, now we're finding out that along with what is probably the best and most diverse NOS collection of Channellocks on the GJ, you also have a real nice collection of Cman Industrial tools as well. You have some really great stuff. *** rated tool **** for sure!! I'm now TWICE as envious of your tool collection. Anything else we should know about?

Jim C.

Also....71goldss, you've got some great stuff too. Very nice collection of Cman Industrial tools!!! I really missed the boat when they were on clearance at the Sears outlet stores.

Thanks Jim,

Yep, the Outlets is where I got most of mine!

Over about a month and a half the Outlets kept drawing me there each weekend. I also gave 5 of the 14pc sets away as Xmas gifts that year!

Hey Travis,

I really like how you're storing those cross-force wrenches! How to store them was one of my concerns and partially influenced my decision not to buy during the Sears Outlets clearance. Great idea!

What's the difference in the 2 Craftsman lines:
Professional vs. Industrial??

You have a good question. They might be better grades of tools than some. From what I understand there have been a lot of tools branded either Professional and Industrial over the years. There have been so many I cannot begin to think of them all. Somebody provided the following article on the latest Industrial line.

http://www.inddist.com/article/2011/04/craftsman-launches-industrial-line

If you read back through the thread near where you posted another member posted pics of some of the older tools Sears used to sell with the Industrial brand name on them.

I purchased a small set of 6 point combination wrenches several years ago. The 9-32797 set I have is in the photo. So far I found a set at the following place.

https://www.shamrocksupply.com/itemDetailFilterPH.action?RFP=IFD&IDP=Y&codeId=11221784

I like the premise of this thread....Craftsman Industrial tools. Okay. But I can't seem to figure out why you keep posting stock photos instead of YOUR actual Cman Industrial tools. Let's see what Cman Industrial tools YOU have in YOUR box. Enough of the stock photos. Let's see what you have.

I have several CM Industrial screwdrivers, combo box wrenches and ratchet set. Same as you I have to move the truck out of the garage to access my tool chest to take a photo of them.
