14"- 4 Speed Band Saw - $75 (La Mirada)

Just needs a new upper bearing guide which can easily be found on eBay so I think the price isn't too bad for it. Having four speeds is very useful so you can switch between metal and wood.

"14" band saw, upper blade guide broken. Runs. 4 speed, has extra blades"

Chas Parker "Big Bear" 4" Vise with Swivel Base: $75 (NYC/ North Richmond Hill, NJ)

This looks like it's in rather good shape other than needing a ball end for the handle and wrench for the swivel bolt. These #234 vise's weigh 89 lbs and have the very cool anvil. This is not a small vise, it's big for a 4" jaw. These have sold on eBay for a lot more money.

"Vintage vise with a 1925 build date on it. Chas. Parker of Meridan,Comm. This came out of an old garage here in Queens. This thig is HUGE it's no cheapo harbor freight ****. It must weigh 60 plus pounds. It has surface rust but should clean up easily enough. It works and turns 100 percent. The Handle has one ball end missing as the owner would put a pipe on one end for leverage.
This this has lots of work left in it. It's the biggest vise I've ever seen. I just don't have space on the bench for it.
Please give it a good home."

Scripta SR 3 DX A Pantograph $350 (San Fernando Valley, CA)

This has to be one of my most eccentric postings but maybe someone here needs a manual 3D pantograph. These are made in France and usually sell with an extra digit added to the price tag so I would say it's a smoking deal for someone who's looking for one. These use the same collets as a Deckel.

I don't quite think this guy knows what he has. Let's hope there's some tooling along with it as well that's not in the pic.

"French made Bandograph. Manual, in good condition."

Scripta went out of business and these guys bought out Scripta but you can probably get all the info you need from them:
http://www.scriptamt.com/panto3d_scripta_SR3DX.html

Here's a slightly more modern & smaller version on eBay located nearby with a Bosch Scintilla router engraver mounted to it:

You can never find deals like these here in Ohio:rocketwho

I looked in Ohio and it's not terrible for prices, however Cleveland is much better than Columbus. Be happy you don't live in Florida now there it's expensive and few nice quality finds.

Plus don't go looking to buy a vise for cheap right now in Columbus, I wish I closer as I have some vises I would love to sell them for the prices they are asking for.

Craftsman 1" x 42" belt grinder $70 (Newark Heath)

This is not a bad price, you will find them cheaper but I doubt it has working idler wheels and a platen so $70 is a very fair price for a working complete one and I bet you can work the price down since it's been up for three weeks. Every shop should have one of these, they are very useful.

Delta Homecraft shaper, table saw and 4 inch jointer - $200 (Olde town east)

This may seem expensive but I have not seen one in a long time and it's a nice smaller footprint size shaper for a smaller shop and looks it's in pretty good shape. These do command a high price on eBay.
It comes with a jointer and table saw combo which is not nearly as desirable but could be sold off for maybe $50-$100 for both if they are complete with fences which could make the shaper a good value, it just need a fence.

http://columbus.craigslist.org/tls/5488501151.html

You can buy a shaper fence right now on eBay for reasonable money.

Craftsman 1/2hp - 3/4hp Block Grinder (complete) with Pedestal & Lamp (Hillard, Oh)

This is being sold with a bunch of other stuff and no price listed but I bet if you contact him you could probably get it for a nice price ($50-75?). FYI: Orig. Block grinder pedestals like this one alone sell without grinder for big money ($75-$175) on eBay.

Three Vintage Buck Bro chisels $20 (Strongsville; Cleveland, OH)

These vintage Buck Bro chisel look in great shape with plenty of life left in them for $20 for all three.

BOSCH 3 X 21 Belt Sander, MADE IN SWITZERLAND SCINTILLA $20 (South Gate, CA)

Again, I'm too lazy to get this so go get this fast, these are awesome. You'll never find one cheaper, if it works well then the price is beyond reasonable. It was just posted.

I think it's a 1274DVS model, 6.6 Amp, variable speed, dustless.

"Bosch Sander in great working conditions. Selling for $20. I think that's a reasonable price. For more information call"

Thanks for taking a look here in Ohio Macgee!

Your welcome. It's always interesting to check out other areas and see what they have to offer.

Here's a nice cast-iron round top craftsman block grinder that is complete with eye guards, lamp and water tray for $40 in Newark, Oh.

Craftsman Bench Grinder, Model 397.19581 1/3 HP $40.00

"Due to retirement and moving to a much smaller house, all of my shop tools must go! All are clean, well cared for and in good working order. I have only a few items remaining from the original lot that I posted a few days ago. As of 3/22/2016, all that remains is shown below (Please refer to the originally posted pictures)."

Variable Speed 20" Drill Press, very similar to a Powermatic 1200 - $200 or best offer, Dayton, OH

This is a beast, it's huge and probably over 400 lbs. Made by Enco and is industrial grade like Powrmatic's 1200 however it definitely does have the Arc of Shame but for $200 or lower it's a very good price. A chuck for this should be easy & cheap to replace. Go through it and make sure everything works before handing over the money including the spring return, variable speed, also check runout.

Top & Bottom Tool Box Stainless Steel - $150 (Canyon Country)

Kind of a strange configuration but the price is right and looks in very good shape. Would be good for someone needing large drawers.

"This is a great, like new, two-piece, stainless steel tool chest by Big Red Jacks. It has no dents, or abuse, the top works perfectly and all the drawers work smoothly and includes drawer liners. I have the keys as well although the door lock at the bottom stopped working so it was removed and replaced with a hasp which you can see in the pictures.
I bought this cabinet from Costco for nearly $400. It has used to store rarely used art supplies, so it has seen very little use, and shows no wear. We closed our shop and are liquidating equipment.
Measurements: 26 1/2 wide, 18 deep, bottom box 38 1/2 tall, top box 18 tall, overall height is 56 1/2.
This is a great buy for anyone who would enjoy owning this beautiful, nearly new stainless steel box. Priced to sell fast to the first $150.
Located in Canyon Country, near the 14 freeway at a storage facility, so it's only available to be seen until 8 PM in the evenings. "

Yeah If I had a pickup I'd go grab this in a heartbeat. Good deal. He'd probably let it go for $80 or so.
I know, wrong coast, but I want to get a hitch and a small trailer some day.
I get tired of people that owe me favors whining when I ask then to haul something.
Y'a get tired of depending on them

I would buy this for 400 but my wife would slaughter me.

I look at some of those older tool boxes and then realize that they usually don't have ball bearing slides. I have gotten spoiled by ball bearings and everything I look at now has to have them. I think I would be more interested in anything else with ball bearings before I would jump on that old toolbox. Now, if it's just a nostalgia thing, then okay.

Sorta considering calling on this one. It's not cool but... it is a very cheap truck.

My old man always said any running truck is worth 1,000.

That thing is the perfect little truck to me. Easy and cheap to work on, reliable, low mileage to boot.

(I have big heavy 4x4 diesels, and sure would like a light truck for picking up daily stuff)
