But but but, everyone knows that the 210MP is a Tig capable machine and you never need AC, accoridng to many on here. That mig machine should have solved all your problems and then some.
yup...
My dealer let me borrow the full Lincoln tig setup for it and a bottle of argon. I played with it for a couple days and brought it back and said thanks but no thanks. Lift start *****. Let me rephrase, lift start doesnt ****, it has its places when you cant use HF Start, BUT when its your only choice, lift start TIG *****. And the low amp side of things was marginal. They "claim" 10 amps I think it was. I never could keep it going below about 20 according to my buddy who would watch the screen. You cant weld thin stuff unless you can get down to 10-15 amps and keep it stable.
All that and the pedal hook up was an after thought through the side of the machine behind a door, manual valve on the torch, obviously no AC, etc...
MIG welding for me always feels like I am out of control, even though I can manipulate the puddle and control everything and I get good welds, I guess I dont care for all the popping, hissing, spatter, etc... I can sit down and TIG(I am NOT what would be considered a "good" TIG welder) and basically kind of get into a zen state of mind and sit and concentrate. I cant TIG weld if anything else is going on around me, I lose focus to easily. No music, no people, etc...
