So you're offering your professional paint service. Ok only if Bob loans you the good paint guns.
Stewart, I'd be happy to paint the vise. Just send it to my place. Did I mention that I started the Corvette painting project in 1983? Not to worry, your vise will look perfect in another 25 or 30 years (after I give it a thorough inspection/stress test).
WHAT? I thought you where the painter of the FC being you have this paint fetish. Hell, if I go to visit Bob the last thing on our minds would be painting that vise or paint guns. I'm gonna be Bobs co pilot and tear up South Beach. Bob can't go out without a co driver per his wife.
Fair warning Gerard -- as cross-eyed as I am I see two of everything. A couple of hundred girls in string bikinis and I can't be sure but I think "tearing up" something with the car is an appropriate description.
Sorry, you'll be busy. Bob and I will be cruising South Beach since I already know the area.
I think you'll be driving and I'll be drooling.

A jacket for what? You know being in Fl you must savor every cool moment you can.

Loving the break from the humidity, I'll think I'll be out trimming trees later today. Well, the cool weather is nice, I was doing it anyway due to other factors........my wife.

Wow, How would you Florida boys ever make it if you came to Maine in the winter and it got to -20* and the wind was blowing 40mph?

Shorty, I'll bet a 40 year old can run pretty fast if she's being chased by a 60 year old man.:3gears:

Well yeah..... The girl with her skirt up can always run faster than the man with his pants down (so I've been told..... SIR).

Lyndon
Hahahahaha. Ok, I know it's not politically correct, but this IS SHORTY's thread! :3gears: :bounce:

Shorty, if you didn't see my response to your email, I did not see any Dr. Pepper signs or ANYTHING that was close to that price. But now that I know you'd like one, I'll keep my eyes open.

With mom's birthday on Saturday and Mother's Day is Sunday, not much shop time. I did find out my big hammer drill also works as a jack hammer. This should help. I am shooting for a Friday or Saturday pour.

Bring the Dodge up, I did the Tahoe sans lift. I'm sure I'll have others wanting to do brake jobs, etc. Not a problem since I only supervise.

Shorty, I don't know what happened to the email either. But I'll answer you here. I got nothing. The people there were spending what I call stupid money. I roadside DOT sign went for $150. I stayed long enough to be out bid on an old Maine State Inspection Station sign. I was willing to pay $200 for it and the second and final bid was $500. (stupid money)

I have to rationalize between a want and a need. Wants don't get as much money as needs. And everything I saw there was a want. So I'll agree with you, it wasn't meant to be.

I was in need of my crane so the out of service winch was put on the future projects shelf. It is great and in dispensable having my crane back in action. Thank you HF for the Mother's Day 25% off sale. Mom will like it that I'm working safer.

I was also able to get the tank off the Valkyrie. When pulling the fuel hose, it kind of shredded. Good thing the mechanic who rebuilt all six carbs used the original 17 yr old fuel lines.

Pictures or it don't exist:lol_hitti.

Yeah, but now the loads will higher off the ground. Please get one on those medical alert braclets so you can call for help if needed. I don't know about you, but when I hollared for help couple of weeks ago, my wife didn't come all that quick, something about my tone....
I was cutting a pine tree branch, standing on a ladder and of course the branch didn't fall away because of the vines, it sat on top of my electric pole saw.

I also started on chipping up the concrete for the new pad. I hope I get done for a Friday pour.

You can easily see that I picked the optimal spot for the lift. :lol_hitti

This foundation is part of a 60x150 warehouse build. I guess the inspector was wasted when he passed the form & footer inspection. The wire so far is laying on the plastic, barely in the concrete.

That's pretty much standard for the wire. I've seen a lot of warehouse sub grades not graded worth a turd. At least it shouldn't be too hard to break out, looks like a pretty big hammer you have there.:lol_hitti

The picture is me lowering the wheel borrow. Here's the load that went up before wheel borrow came down. Oh And the neighbors come running when they hear loud thuds or crashes.

She probably didn't hear you because she was in deep study of the life insurance policy. :D

I see a lot of great stuff in there. But I'm curious what you use the muffin pan for?

Since I don't have a lift and too much stuff in the way of doing any projects, I bake muffins. :rocker:

I use it to keep track of project fasteners when there are different bolts and screws that come off in a certain order. Example: rebuilding a carb or ugly green Lista cabinet.

I also use baking sheet and casserole pan to hold the dirty greasy parts that come off.
