With T-50's?

Yes, all different lengths for different applications. That was my go-to stapler for years. I still use it when I don't feel like pulling out the air hose. The only real issues I ever had was too powerful for 1/4" luan/pvc and not powerful enough for 3/4" MDF. The air stapler can be controlled more with a pressure regulator so I use it more for important detail work. The electric stapler is perfect for standard plywood used for vanity panels, speaker boxes and rear decks in automobiles or chairs, couches and furniture in homes/business.

Hey Mike: Yep, I love using these for small projects, or quick cuts without the sawdust. As I said, I have 2 of the Langdon Acme type (1 is actually a re-branded Craftsman). Then I recently got a MF 75, similar to yours, without the saw. I need to find a 30x5 saw for it. Then my last pickup is this Marsh Ayers (see pic) that I know nothing about. Do you?

Paulm12:

I looked and found that Marsh also teamed up with Langdon on doing miter boxes.

On the Marsh Ayers you have, I wonder if they were trying to reduce the weight, so that they would be a little more portable in taking to the job site?

Mike: that certainly could be. These were the original cordless tools, so portability was certainly a plus. Thanks for your insights on these boxes. Shoot me a PM if you ever part out that Langdon, or need some parts of your own. I am always looking for spare boxes.

Here are pics of that tool chest with a PB Blaster can and my Prentiss #23 7" 260lb vise next to it (sorry, no bannana) measures 30.5" long, 24" high and21.5" deep

One drawer is signed but I can't read it. It was full of wood working tools and other stuff im trying to figure out. Here is a box of castle nuts that was in it.

Now the question is how do I get 100 years of mouse piss smell out of it??

You don't. It soaks into the pores of the wood.
Like cat urine it stays.
After cleaning it well keep baking soda in it and change it often.
That helps keep the smell down.

joe,
My wife had a friend who had lived with many cats in her house for a long time. When this friend passed away we bought some of the furniture from her house. Needless to say, it had been doused with urine many times. I took the furniture and washed it with soapy water in the driveway. Just try to dry the furniture as soon as possible (NOT in the sun). Then I used denatured alcohol to remove any shellac that was left on the piece. After the piece was COMPLETELY dry, I used dewaxed shellac and coated the entire piece (inside, outside, top, bottom, ALL) with a thin washcoat. (I used zinsser sanding sealer shellac and thinned it with an equal amount of denatured alcohol.) Then I finished the pieces with unthinned shellac. I brought one of the pieces in the house with my cats, and they didn't pay any attention to it. I have never smelled anything, and neither has my wife (who has severe allergies). Shellac has an amazing ability to seal wood. It worked for me!

.......and a nice parts washer for 5 bucs (that I still need to go back and get with a couple buckets to pour the old solution into).

Here is the parts washer. Don't know much about these other than they seem to be decent units and this one doesn't appear to have had much use. It isn't the most sturdy design though. I might need to reinforce it by building some sort of frame for it. I can just see the first time a through the static jaw of a vise in there that it tips over.

There was a garage sale today that a saw had some great stuff. I saw a huge bucket full of breaker bars and ratchets but i worked today so i had my Mom and brother go for me. They got there 30 minutes early but it was raining to they didn't go out till 10 to 10 and they already opened the sale even tho they said they wouldn't. So one of the regulars got all the good stuff. MY mom spent $10 on a couple Chinese sets even tho i said no Chinese tools. I know she meant well tho so i can't be mad at her. I am just upset they lied when they said they wouldn't open up early but they did.

Went to a farm auction yesterday. I got outbid early on a few items. I finally won a flat for $20 that contained, among other things, 3 John Deere tractor wrenches:

IMG_1316 (Medium).jpg

The two straight ones are pretty standard and go on eBay for $10 to $15. The one with the 90 degree bend is for flywheel bolts on the H and some B tractors. That one goes for $45 and up.

Also won a lot for $40 that contained this item:

My first Gyro/versa vise. Has the base, too. One side is cleaner than the other.

I owe these finds to Makattak81 because he texted me about what he found at a one day sale that i wasn't going to go to. I went about a couple hours to close and they were doing 50% off. my total was 24.50 but i got them down to $20 even

1. stanley 4 piece usa chisel set, channelocks, usa pliers, craftsman gauge
2. craftsman 1/2 socket set. Has most of the =v= sockets in it but it is missing the ratchet and in it place a new britain ratchet
3. action metric usa socket set

The New Britain ratchet is almost worth what you paid for the whole set. They are great ratchets, complete the set with a cman ratchet and the NB will make a great user.

That is what made me get the set. Looks like it has some kind of pitting on the ratchet tho. I am going to see if it will come off.
