You got 23 in shop now? Where were all these hiding. I think you're holding out on me there Craptain. Good thing I'll be down there soon to check them all out.

Many are small clamp-ons a couple of dp vises, hand vises, saw vise, woodworking etc, they soon add up. I guess that technically I could also include my workmates. :dunno:

Oh and a couple at least will be for sale. :shocking:

Strouty: I bet you can, but asking yourself WHY is the real question. Hell Taumac could make 40+ feet just in Craftsman tool boxes.

CB: helluva idea with the vise tree. I've seen a few 3 or 4 high but I hope you didn't hurt yourself or damage any of them. looks like you need a bit more VARIETY in your vise collection and I know just the member that can help. or take a look at DOC's new 1/3 HP block restoration thread and start spiffing up all those blocks and put that grinder table to work. I know you have a belt grinder and wish I did too, but it's not as COOL as 6 blocks with 12 different wheels set up to use at any moment.

cheers

No vises were harmed in the making of this photo.
Watch, they'll be some org like pets that protects vises will be after me for endangerment.

Wow cb, you just gave me an idea of what to do with my pile of vises. And this time it isn't costing me anything.:dunno:

Oh and we found the keys, you should have hid them better.:willy_nil

The keys will be proping up the stack of vises. Kinda like a rat traps:lol_hitti

Well... When guys go after others guys boxes..........:lol_hitti

Shortys busy guarding his holes in his slab, I think he's worried someone will mistake them for a latrine.:shocking:

Define what boxes you're referring to? Is this like take the wife but leave the Listas alone or other way around.

Don't you Florida guys ever update your threads? Man I keep checking and it's like a ghost town on all of your threads.

Gerard, you're the only one that stays on top of it. I know he's busy, but I have several threads that I enjoy and always check for updates. And CB and Shorty don't spend much time on their own threads.

It's simple to post on other threads, it just dependent of what on my mind and I can post from anywhere, even the toilet at the rest area.:shocking:
Me own shop thread, most of the time I don't even see the inside of my shop during the week except to grab a beer.
Nothing to really update, haven't even really had time to work in it, and probably won't for another two weeks. Haven't even been able to stare at the walls with a beer.

Let's see, I sharpened my chainsaw blade, change the seal on pool pump, caught two rats ( not anyone one here:lol_hitti), put away my sale finds, which I did post up.
Carried steel for Lista frame from truck to shop.

Gotta work to pay for my recent toys.

Hopefully it calms down so I'll have more time in the coming months.

Thanks. I do try to keep mine up to date even if it's just ideas I have or moving stuff from one side garage to another. It's a fine balance between updating and boring my followers to death. LOL

I want no ideas that come from Tampa. Other than that, I'm all ears.

I think Shorty referring to that you may want to have a mascot for your group , we were kinda of thinking Strouty would fit that bill.
I don't remember because we were using beer bottle tops to vote and we kept accidentally throwing them away and had to open another beer to get another pile of tops.

Hey, that's it! Im going to send you a couple of my bottle caps Dan to put on your wall, it'll be the closest thing to us having a beer together until we get to one or the others place. Yeah, a beer place holder.Hmmmmmm....

OK here it is:
We can send our bottle caps from beer or what're ever your drinking to whichever member is willing. The sender should write thier name on the back, maybe date it?
The receiving member can put it on a wall, box, tool box drawer, wall of CM, battery forklift, what ever, to say hey, I've had a beer with my GJ friend.
Kinda like Facebook friends, just a area with a collection of beer caps to show your friends.

Then, if you visit your friends shop, you can add the actual cap that you drank there with them, and it would be a marker of who has been to your shop.

Man, I may just go home and have a beer !

OK Dan, guys, what do you think?

Ready to launch the GJ beer bottle cap exchange?

Instead of beer caps you guys can send me signed twenty dollar bills. They will be easier to mail, I will send a bunch of self addressed envelopes out, if you send a signed hundred dollar bill I will include the postage.

Here's another little addition to my tools, the plyworx pliers rack.
Still have some stragglers that I haven't rounded up and put in there.
Thanks Strouty for the link.
The blue Vidmar that's pictured will likely become my mechanic hand tools box, still playing around with how it'll work out.
I've been wanting to have all my screwdrivers in one drawer, the Mac chest that I have them in now, there in three different drawers, and they have to be just so to get drawer closed.

So anyway, here the pics of the pliers in the racks, still moving around and adjusting. I want to do something similar with my adjustables.

If I make the complete move to this Vidmar, I'll paint it red to match the Mac box that will sit on top.

So is that one 45" wide?

As far as the adjustable, why not hang them on the wall? I am thinking about hanging those and my pipe wrenches, of course I have not done it yet, so they are still taking up drawers space.

I'm sure Gerard has some extra red (or gray) that he'd let you have.

From what I've read, he just has latex white, and he's going to use it to paint Shortys place, so I'm on my own.

I have a rattle can of Majic from TS that's almost a perfect match. I'll get a gallon when Im ready.

Yes, it's 45". I wasn't positive it's was a Vidmar until the thread popped up a few weeks ago with the guy who picked it in a van, his slides and the marks are identical to mine.

I'm wanting to keep everything in drawers, and I don't really have much wall space.i have a old card file cabinet that I have all of my pipe wrenches in, along with all my c clamps.

Maybe wheni move to KY I'll set up a hanging wall.

Picked up this thoroughly rusted and frozen Parker vice today, saved from the scrap pile. Just what I need, something to screw with.
I'm starting a new organization, PFCTOOV.
People for correct treatment of old vises.

CB, count me in on PFCTOOV. I've got a thing for old vises since I found this site. I've got to count but close to a dozen and I can't stop buying them when I find a good one. I'll post a picture of my pile.

One of the things that's nice this time of year, shade in the early morning and most of this same area is shaded late in the day.

Craig, I had the same experience the other day. I was working on the sprinkler system that's located on the South side of the garage. It's in direct sun all winter but I was working in the shade of the roof overhang on Thursday. My back was in the sun but it kinda felt good. By the time I was done my back still felt fine even though I was bent over for more than an hour.
