Changed oil and air filters in three cars ... loving the lift!!
^what lift is that? is it similar the HF one?
Heh, I TRIED to do the same... First time I have ever changed one on this mower, and I can't figure it out. I'm probably going to lose my man card over this. The old one broke, so I didn't have it to go by. There is a diagram on the deck and in the manual, but I can't see it going back on that way. Going by the dealership tomorrow to have a look at one and figure it out.

Jim, That will help, god forbid it happens again. Great job on the install!

Thanks! It took only about 2 hours to install the hitch. I was surprised that the dealer said it was a 6 hour job, at $120 and hour, and the wiring another 3 hours, plus parts at a total cost of $1800.
Hopefully we will never find out if the Bully Bar helps in another rear ender.![]()
Last guy that rear ended me (back when I had my Tacoma) destroyed his front bumper and core support. I had a ball hitch in at the time, as I had just come from dropping a trailer off and didn't take it out. He was driving a silverado, and it was his work truck. He begged me not to call the cops, or he'd get fired. Haha.
My Jeep XJ got hit (was parked on the street, no ball in the hitch) while we were out of town. Bent the hitch all up into the unibody and pretty much totaled the whole thing. YMMV.

had a few beers while I cleaned and painted a bench.

I am getting ready to rebuild a fence and was dreading the thought of moving the new steel posts and Hardie Plank siding boards around. A neighbor discarded an old porch swing with A Frame legs.
That old porch swing is well on the way to becoming a cart to carry those same posts and siding boards.
With a welder, old steel and other discards become something new.

Changed my oil in the truck.
For a couple of months I've been working up a tachometer mount for my blown stovebolt truck build. Started out finding the rare accessory clock for the '54-'55 1st Series truck.
![]()
Removed the clock and mounted it in my '37 Chevy truck. Then painted the clock housing with Duplicolor Detroit Diesel Green engine paint (later in the build, the dash will be painted with the same paint).

Got a 2-5/8" 6,000 tach from Speedhut.com. You specify face, text style, needle style and other parameters on their website, then they build it for you. Took a month.

Finally, found a Hardin Marine Gauge Bezel at CPPerformance.com I needed for the tach / clock housing interface.

I can now put the tach / clock housing assembly on the shelf until ready for installation.

Instead of giving $1800 to the Audi dealer to install a hitch on my 2016 Q5, I decided to do it myself for $265 and an Ebay Hidden Hitch. 4500 pound limit is far more than I needed, but nice to have.

In her previous Nissan Rogue my wife was rear ended 5 times in 6 years, so we installed a little additional protection. It may not help, but she feels better anyhow.
did your q5 have lane assit and rear camera and rear park sensors and how did that work out for you when there is a trailer hook up without those modules recooded for a trailer.
Nice install!
Does the hitch replace the bumper or does it attach to the frame? If it attaches to the frame I wouldn't want to ever have use that step as "added protection". When the tow hitch is attached to the frame, the step basically negates the 2.5 MPH bumpers. In other words, a small bump is more likely to do real damage.
