That particular AD you posted is probably a Hardware Store Ad which means they would sell various brands of leg vises, anvils, bench vises, ect. all under one roof.

Where I think he got off base was saying that (
Columbus Forge And Iron Co.) was the company that made
Columbian Vises.---But again, who am I to say?
