My power went out for a few hours so I sat in my truck while it idled and ran my fridge and freezer off a power inverter I had hooked up to the battery. 5 hours without power and both were still in the safe range temperature but I didn't want to go much longer than that so each got an hour of power from the truck. Plus my phone got charged as well!

You're still posting, so my incredible power of deduction tells me that you did not die of CO poisoning.

But all kidding aside, weren't you worried about CO, even with (I would assume) the OH door being open?

Fortunately I was parked half in half out of the garage with the exhaust pointing out plus there was a pretty good wind blowing the whole evening.

Had a great day with my dad. He came over and I fixed the bumper of his 86 Merc SL, after that we went to the garage where his vintage tractor is stored. Put a battery in and started it for the first time this year. He couldn't get to it earlier in the year'cause he's had bowel cancer and had surgery, the whole nine yards, but he's ok now and just getting up to pace again. Then we finished assembling my new blast cabinet and tested it out. On top my GF made some tasty gooseberry cake so we sat on the balcony and had coffee together.

Started changing the clasps on the ATV trunk. Nap was a bit longer than anticipated and it is my anniversary today so I'll finish up tomorrow.

Got another workout in, and fixed my squeaky garage door between sets.

tried to replace a piece of siding on my house. Had to paint and cut piece...only to find out the color wasn't as close as I thought it would be and the siding at Lowes is not the same siding that the people who sided this house 20 years ago used. #failarmy. I did get some drywall/ceiling repairs done though so not all was lost.

f11bdabf4b8ee7b46281aa16898fc10f.jpg fixed the clutch on my 56 Ariel, modding it to a 2.5 plate setup by using a later basket I had with ferodo inserts and modding the back plain plate to make it contact by turning out another one and welding them together. My then-gf in college had that GT in white, brought back some great memories. I had a 89 Supra Turbo at the time. Her's was white with a black stripe in the middle of the hood (your's seems to be an aftermarket hood with that raised hood in the middle). That car would spin tires in third gear, it felt very light compared to my grand-touring Supra, the handling was not as nice though but great fun to drive because of the V8 torque.

Thanks everyone!

My first mustang was an 86' 5.0 coupe that I drove to high school in the late 80's. Since then I've had about 15 foxbody mustangs, my last one was an original 89' LX with only 68K miles. It was clean! But I decided to sell it after my divorce in 08'.

So now I'm remarried...I know, I know lol...I didn't learn my lesson. But my now wife promised we would get another after our addition and garage were done, so after a lot of searching, here it is lol.

Nice! That's a good story, glad your dad is ok and doing better. The world needs more of these kinds of posts.

It's next to my garage for the moment, but I went and picked this guy up from a co-worker, for free! The power steering went on it about 4 months ago, and it needs a bunch of other odds and ends, but it's extremely clean otherwise. I'm still debating weather or not I'll keep it or flip it, but we'll see.

Helluva deal at that price. And definitely worth the investment you are going to put into it.

I set up a makeshift spray area in the shop and spayed the Ramcharger with desert sand bed liner. It came out pretty good in my opinion. View media item 61873

Awesome Ramcharger! I look forward to seeing the final product!

We had a 1985 version that we took on vacation every year. As an only kid, I was able to lounge across that huge back seat. Lots of good memories.

I finally got around to fixing my push mower, which has been running like **** for the past few weeks. I installed a new carburetor, replaced the spark plug (kept fouling plugs from wrong mixture) and changed the oil (was really nasty from getting tons of fuel dumped into it). Feels really good to have it running like new again.

Today I started remanufacturing my large 8'x44" rolling work table into a hybrid, using Ron Paulk's portable workbench plans. I'm making two modules, 7'L x 21"W x 8"T and re-cutting my rolling table frame to support the new top and keep its height matching my table saw (I use it for an outfeed support as well).
I have plastic trestles I can use with one of the new modules for 'portable' use. And they're sized to readily fit in the back of my Suburban. And at home, they'll go on the re-sizedrolling base.

Spent an hour greasing up and re-assembling my Record No.25..

It spent two days in a stripping tank then half a day being wire wheeled down and repainted..

now I just need to source some new mounting bolts as the three I have are miss matched and look crummy.. :)
