No, you don't know your password, you don't have a password, the whole point of this is they need you to make a new password. This is a new system, therefore you need a new password. They can transfer over your username and your personal info because that's all stored in plain text. Passwords, however, are not stored in plain text and can't be transferred over in the same way. So, to make things easier, they just wipe out the password and have you make a new one when they transfer everything over.

Go to mscdirect.com/welcome-enco, input your username and your e-mail address and have them send you a temporary password, then use that temporary password to access your account and then change your password to whatever you want it to be the next time you log in.
OK will do, Thank You.

That's correct.

My guess would then be that you either put in your username or password wrong, the e-mail with the new password got stuck in your junk mail folder, or your account got lost in the shuffle.

Check your junk mail folder for the e-mail, and if they didn't send you one, and you're sure you put in the right e-mail/username and you didn't make a typo, then a lost account is the only thing that comes to mind. If that's the case, then I'd send them an e-mail or call them and ask what's up, they should get back to you pretty quick.

I'm hoping Enco does one more sale before it's all over.

Looking at MSC's high prices I think I (definitely) will rarely ever need to order from MSC.

My letter from Enco/MSC said I would receive up to 30% off MSC retail because I purchased from Enco in the last year. Depending on the item, it worked out to the same, better, or worse than price anywhere else. Unsure whether codes would stack on top of that or not. Probably not.

Same here. I priced some stuff at MSC and it automatically applied a discount without any coupon code or min. order threshold.

The bad news is that that coupons don't stack and I don't see any way to get free shipping.

I'm curious if the automatic discount for Enco customers will go "****" after a while. Anyone know??

I also am seeing coupons not stacking. I really liked ENCO and am disappointed they are going away.

We're running out of time... one final 25% off plus free shipping is looking less and less likely... I really wanted a surface plate before Enco was no more... :(

Anyone else think Enco might do a last hurrah before they vanish in August?

I'm thinking it might be wise to have a shopping list ready.

OTOH they may just do nothing, any large sales serve only to deplete MSC warehouses.

Sadly I think no. I called recently called and it sounds like they are winding things down. Their last flyer was the June edition.

Regretting all those things I never got around to buying.

25% off @ ENCO is not that great of a deal.JMO

It actually is on a great deal of machine tool accy's and cutting tools. You can onesy-twosey drill bits and end mills from other places like Amazon, but for one-stop shopping for a machine shop it's hard to beat. Ditto for stops, toe clamps, chucks, MT adapters, coax indicators, 1-2-3's etc.

EDIT: Bleh never mind looks like the coupon is pretty bunk...

Looks like it may have happened!

Davefr just shared a code in another thread:

If this really works on the Enco pricing on MSC's website then this is possibly the best discount I've ever seen from there. We should put together a last hurrah list of suggested purchases. When I get home I'm gonna look up surface plates and see how the discount plays out.

I just got a voicemail from MSC that it is customer appreciation month for former Enco customers and gave me a code to save "Up to 50%" off as per usual. I haven't tried it out yet to see if it's actually valid on anything that would end up as a good deal. Anyone else get a call recently?

No call, but a week or two ago I recieved a card in the mail saying "Call today to save 50% on your next order" plus free shipping on orders over $49. Of course there was a " * " after the 50% and the back of the card had the typical fine print which started off by saying "Certain exclusions apply" and ended with "Offer ends at 11:30pm EDT on 10/31/16". I never called 1-800 to find out the details of this promo offer

I got a call and they left a personal voice message by a real person saying that they want my business again....blah, blah, blah and that they will match my Enco prices for the next 12 months of something.

Sounds like they have not been getting the the business they were banking on since the switch (I wonder why) and are now spending money by calling Enco customers to coax them back. Good luck with that, as mentioned above MSC lives by having some sort of small print to sour the deal. I equate the whole thing to being spoiled milk which I have no time for and have moved on.
