So I got stuck working an extra shift today, but my Uncle went as my proxy to an estate sale that was held today. It was the same estate that was the source of the auction I won at last weekend, so I was very hopeful more good things were to come! I don't know if I got as good of a deal as last weekend, but I definitely scored big time! I gave him $200 and told him to spend it like it was his own, he has a very extensive tool collection himself and was who originally turned me on to Wright in the beginning.

As it turns out, it was the same estate, and there was another Wright Tool lot at it. Unfortunately, instead of being auction format, it was tagged with a price of $250... he talked them down to $200 and got some extra items his wife wanted tossed in. All in all, it is a couple sets of Wright Grip SAE combo wrench sets, some extra above that, lots of wright crescent wrenches, some more ratchets, some channel locks, and so forth. The haul fills a kitty litter bucket.

I also got the story behind the estate. Turns out the husband owned an industrial repair company, and only bought USA made tools for the company, with a preference for Wright tools. He retired and his son took over, and they are moving to Arizona. Rather than move a bunch of stuff sitting in storage, they decided to sell it off. Lucky me!

Pictures will be up by the end of the night, and come Monday I will have a post up in the classifieds by Monday. Also, I will be doing a giveaway for some of the adjustable crescent wrenches.

Feel free to wish harm upon me, but remember, I am giving some away!

That's alot of stuff for the money even with the multiples. I might have to reconsider my policy of avoiding estate sales. The idea of bargaining over a dead guy's stuff gives me bad juju but, that's just me.

It was a moving estate sale, nobody dead this time! I know what you mean, though, I prefer garage sales and the such... but at the same time, I have burried my mom, and if it wasn't for the money from the estate sale we wouldn't have been able to afford her cremation and funeral.

He also had about 30 ratchets... and about 6 sets of SAE combo wrenches, and... I think you get it.

And yeah, all my stuff will go with me too, but I think this was just the extra stuff that he ran out of room for.

Its a good deal if you collect Wright or are planning on selling some of them. Normally you only need two of each size and a back up if you loose one.

Part of the goal was to get some to sell so I can buy more tools that I don't have 2 of each and a back up of... the lady is watching me type right now and I am getting the eye... it will be ok, look at the ring on your left hand dear! Now she is smiling!:pimpflash

Nice score again! You ****! When you get ready to sell, I am missing a few sizes of WrightGrip combos (11/16, 1-1/16, 1/-1/8 & 1-1/4). If you have extras, I would definitely be interested.

Shoot me a PM as well so I have you sitting in my inbox(I won't open it until I have the answer, that way it helps me keep organized on who I have and who I still need to talk to)... I am not 100% on what all I have in those larger sizes.. I know I have enough 9/16" extras to sink a small ship.

I can't see this myself.
When I'm dead you come haggle your heart out at my place!
They won't do me any good anymore and if I'm going to get any rest I want my tools in the hands of someone who won't leave them out in the rain!!
My kids and grandkids, so far, aren't very trustable with good tools.
I'd want to see them safe regardless.

Fantastic score btw
got to love Wright tools.

PS This driver is Bolivian rosewood and inlaid pewter. It was not easy to make. Don't let it go to waste!
yours Scott

That is a beautiful driver! Hopefully it makes it to a good home down the road.

My new thread with the new stuff is getting delayed a day. I was t-boned earlier by a person that decided to run a red light, and am just now getting home from the hospital. I am ok, and the car was just my beater, and will be getting plenty of insurance money to cover its loss.

Shipping is delayed a day for those that got stuff off me over the weekend, and I sent you PM to let you know as well.

I will be getting those that have PM me about the combo and adjustable wrenches pricing on it tomorrow. I will also get the rest posted up tomorrow, instead of today.

Sorry for the delay guys!
