Just ordered an HD9-XL with one RJ45, drip trays and ramp locks. Just want to say that Michael and Jessica have been excellent to work with thus far and I am really looking forward to getting the lift! If you are considering a BendPak lift, garageenthusiast.com is the place to go!:thumbup:

I also would like to ask users who have experience working on cars between 4 post and 2 post. The only way I will get a 4 post is with rolling jacks (not jack trays) as I will primarly wrench on cars vs. storing. Do you find a 4 post with rolling jacks significantly more limiting in access to work on cars vs. a 2 post.

The 4 post is more versatile and won't require as tall of walls for my construction (I'm building a new garage) but it does also take up a little more room and would seem to be somewhat awkward for some suspension type work where you are trying to work around the wheel base (and much more expensive by the time you add two rolling jacks.

Considering an HD9 series lift for a new shop. How long are the standard ramps? How long are the optional aluminum extended ramps? And can the lift be purchased substituting the aluminum ramps instead of the standard steel ones? Thanks.

The standard ramps are 36" and the extended are 48". BendPak discontinued the "upgrade" option earlier this year where you could swap the steel ramps for aluminum ramps. They discontinued the option because the steel lifts tilt down when the lift is raised creating a stop for a vehicle which is required for the lift certification. The aluminum lifts do not tilt down. They can be purchased as an addition but you would receive both sets.

Just to let everyone know if anyone is looking at the BL7000SLX QuickJack any order placed before 10/1 will include the truck/SUV adapter (a $220 value) free. Any order placed after 10/1 the adapter set will be an additional fee.
