Because that's what those Chinese mother effers do ... they undercut everybody and find a way to sell things cheap.
Funny, when I was a kid in Southeast Asia, the complaint was 'those darn Yankees, keep finding ways to make things cheaper'. Heard it a lot, serious complaints from the guys from OZ, the Aussies and the Brits.
Got lectures on how shoddy, poor, cheap the US made stuff was, how it ran the craftsman and their apprentices out of business.
Heard LOTS of **** about how American cars, like say the 68 Camaro, or 68 Mustang, were junk compared to the hand built, high manual labor Brit cars.
Of course, the Brit cars ran like ****, leaked oil, had faulty electric, etc. etc. but they were built by British workmen, (who sat on their asses, drank beer on the job, and couldn't be fired) so they were vastly superior.
Think your arguments are new, original, or even meaningful?
Learn about capitalism, not the lies taught in school today.
Protectionism, which you espouse, brings DOWN quality, brings UP prices and kills jobs, kills innovation, kills caring about your product.
American cars were the finest in the world, then among the worst.
Gee, why is that? Must be because of those darn imports, right?
Or is it because the companies got fat and complacent, the companies hid behind protectionism, the unions who couldn't care less about the company or the customer got fat and lazy?
Naw, must be the dang Chinese, Japanese Taiwanese, Koreans, Mexico, Canada, whatever.
Make a good, innovative product at a competitive price, people will buy it.
Make overpriced things, people won’t buy them.
What a concept…
