Just catching up with some threads after some time away from the board... This is an awesome build and I am very interested to do something similar myself at some point. The building looks great and I think the cost is very reasonable for what you are getting. I'm no Landie expert but currently I have a 'Series 3' stored here for a friend who is moving house so he has asked me to look after it for a few months whilst he moves and finds a new home for it.

Doors took a lot longer than expected and we are still awaiting a pedestrian door

Landscaping started today (this picture was taken last week) and will (needs to) be finished by the weekend ready for the first big Defender retrim on Monday

Internally the Newage Pro cupboards are in, picture to follow

Fantastic to find a thread so close to the kind of thing I am about to embark on, and for the same purpose too !
I am interested in what made you decide with galvanising the framework ? I have had quotes for the framework on ours and was made to feel a bit daft when I suggested it....? Don't get me wrong I can understand why you'd prefer to galv it , as would I !

The main reason I went for Galv was actually not for longevity but for 'the look' as I wasnt keen on the painted colours that were offered.

I paid an additional £1k for everything to be Galvd which I thought was good value

Fantastic garage, and cars. I have been looking out for a S2b pickup for a while. Dont know what I going to use it for, but I just love the looks of those cars. ;)

Thanks for the replies guys.

The building is clad with King Span insulated panels, the doors are insulated too.

The floor panels I bought 2nd hand on Ebay, they are 6mm thick plastic designed specifically for workshop environments.

The Series 2a is probably my favourite actually, so much character !

Ground works today, 80 tons of Type 1 has been delivered and will be compacted.

The edge between the driveway and lawn is being edged with recycled railway sleepers to keep the top layer of shingle from getting on the lawn.

We are also setting 'H' section steels into the ground at the far end to form a retaining wall of Sleepers - pictures to follow

Sweet build, love the dark colors you went with on the building. I would've done the same. Sweet mustang, and love the red jk I see in the back. I'm in the process of building one now

Thanks mate.

The JK is a Rubicon V6, great truck to drive.

Which engine are you going for ?

Mine is an 08 rubicon also. Great vehicle. I have lots of plans for it..

I know it sounds crazy but I plan on shoving a 24 valve cummins diesel motor into it. Will put one ton axles under it also. And paint it. I really dislike yellow lol
