A few months ago, I had the gas lift cylinders that support the lid on my KR series top chest replaced under warranty. It turned out that the replacements were also not capable of supporting the lid, so after contacting Snap on customer service, the person determined that there was a HD version of that strut, and sent me again, at no cost, the correct struts.
While on the phone, I mentioned that the model number of my air compressor was illegible, as it was written on the original shipping papers. Even though the compressor was manufactured in 1999, by using the serial number, determined that it is a BRA618V
Yes, indeed, there IS a difference, and once again, although quality does cost extra, YOU do get what you pay for.
