1/2 Cup,
I think work might of got you the Samson plasmacam as a birthday present.

Aaron, I wish.

Now you know why I don't want to retire any time soon..;)

Posting more stuff to tease us no doubt.

Seriously I did not read the rest as we all know you have so much fun at work. As I recall a post with Vehicles set up as Christmas decorations some time ago and what about the Work Go Cart Challenge!

Come on 1/2 we all know work is great fun for you what ever you do.

Still stirring the pot here (or is that the 1/2Cup of milk). :bounce:

Having said that what is a job if you do not enjoy what you do and get some pirks (I hope every one knows that word). When you do not enjoy your job and what you do then it is no fun going to work.

So stuck behind the computer I take it we will see more to enjoy.

HOTFR8:rocker::thumbup:

As I said I do really enjoy what ever I do, you just have to cease the moment at every opportunity no matter what that is.

Getting an bit philosophical here, life does throw up some challenges for all of us but I look at it as the Cup is 1/2 Full, not 1/2 Empty..;)

Best get back to work now......:)

Hey Steve, I'm not sure if I'll have internet access for the next few days - so I'll follow Dan's lead and send you an early "Happy Birthday" for Sunday.

I'll actually be in Victoria - mainly Melbourne, but I'll be in Ballarat (and possibly Daylesford) on Saturday. So I'll face North and shout "Coo-ee" (then I'll do the same in the opposite direction for Simon).

Mark, sincere thanks

All the best for your trip down South of the boarder. It is a great part of the state...

Just for those who would like to know more check out the links below...

Thank you one and all yet again, enjoy your day..

To think you will only be 30 minutes from me so I may here you if you face north. Oh and you need to face North East for 1/2.

Oh, bring warm clothes as we had a frost here today. Daylesford and Ballarat will be cold.

Now you know why I don't want to retire any time soon..;)

I am sure I speak for many others that read this topic as we all know you enjoy any project you tackle be it at work, the West Wing or in that Shed Down Under. What ever you do keep posting so we can keep enjoying and sharing what you do and may be some stirring will continue as well.:thumbup:

Happy Birthday for Sunday Steve, i will be overseas so i won't have a chance to jump online, also a big congrats with the newest edition to the family mate.

That plasma table looks like a nice little setup, i'm sure you will have some great things roll off that table in time.
Just a quick stop in this time, i go away for a few weeks and and you knock out about 20 pages for me to play catchup lol.

Not happy 1/2 Cup.

Looks like another job to do, replacing the fly wire with stainless steel mesh.

Have a great day and thank you for your visit...

Has Garage Journal decided to close down?:eyecrazy::eyecrazy:

Just when I thought my cup was 1/2 full:rocker::rocker::rocker:

Will I be banned?:dunno:

Does that even matter if you can't make 1/2 Cup jokes?

Oh woe are we! (Or is it "Whoa or wee?" (wife on car trip -whoa or wee))

P.S. Can he do that, ban 1/2 jokes? Maybe I'm like the French explorer of Africa who was "in de Nile".

Stainless fly wire? We just add 1/2" hardware cloth to the fly wire to avoid rodent damage. I could fix that rodent with a 22, but I see you've named it, kind of like Bob Jr. Funny it's not named 1/4 Cup.

You do not know who spot on you are, Mrs 1/2 Cup has basically set up the West Wing as a furnished apartment for the kids and this includes but not limited to the following at this point:

. Couch.
. TV
. My beer fridge.:shocking:
. Chairs.
. Coffee table.
. Table.
. Dish washing liquid, dishwasher stuff.
. Wipes.
. Paper towel.
. Tea towels.
. Towels.
. Linen.
. Kettle ( new )
. Toaster ( new )
. rubbish bin and liners.
. Soda selection.
. Platter of fruit.
. Tea, Coffee, Drinking Chocolate, Sugar.
. Milk - Full cream and Skim.
. Soap, Shampoo and conditioner.

And I am just waiting for a new microwave to be delivered.:eyecrazy:

When Mrs 1/2 Cup gets a bee in her bonnet the is no stopping her.

1/2: i didn't have a clue what or where Andy was going with his posts and happy to hear you might have figured it out. :eyecrazy:

so Mrs. 1/2 might like the idea of a B&B? looks like all you need is a couple dressers, bed and maybe a few pictures on the wall now. or i'm sure you could rent the place furnished to a nice person or young couple and easily pay for the stuff you put inside it.

sorry to see the issue on the screen door. I usually had to repair a bent frame along with the screen when one of our 2 legged ones would run through our screen doors. :D hopefully not a too tough of a fix either temporary or doing the entire door.

SP: not sure where you found that cup, but it's a classic especially for this thread.:D

Lyndon, to be honest I would expect nothing less from Mrs 1/2 Cup she does it well.

Attention to detail plus.

drives, all sorted..

Mrs 1/2 Cup does like the idea of a B&B and to be honest it wouldn't take much to get there....

The screen door is an easy fix, I just have to get some mesh and replace it..

The Cup is Gold..

All, another tough day at work and then the weekend is here...:3gears:

We completed a flight plan to complete a horizontal map of two miles of a major canal that is to be remodelled soon a few weeks back and this morning we are using that plan with a fixed wing drone that is being demonstrated to us by the company that we purchased the quad copter from, which BTW is not back yet..

Looking forward to it..:3gears:

Thank you one and all, have a good one..

LMAO, the cup of tea is a keeper. We had a similar problem with Zorro when he was younger, but he just walked right thru the door, so we put a acrylic panel at the bottom to stop this and it was easier to clean the cruel off.
Have a great day, I'm going to try my best to have a good one.

Ah, I guess I hit a chord with that post about the tea set!:thumbup::thumbup: As intended!

Would you believe that I fired up my clay turning wheel and spent a couple hours making the cups. Then I fired up my kiln that I just happen to have. Then glazed them and re-fired them, set up and took the picture all by myself???? It was a LOT of work!!!

No???? :headshake:headshake:headshake Well, I'm glad it gave everyone a smile or two!!! :D:D:D I was sure giggling like crazy when I found it too!

1/2, I did notice that you mentioned that your beer fridge has been appropriated to the West Wing???????? :wtf::wtf::wtf: That's gonna cost you a point or two on your man card!!!:lol:

Now, with the way this thread is going, I'm just wondering if we'll ever see a garage related post on this thread again??? :dunno::dunno:

Have a great weekend down under! My weekend starts about 14 hours later than yours.

Cheers!

Pottery wheel, I am impressed..

We need to see some of your creations..

The beer fridge in the West Wing, no points lost at all. I look at this as opportunity, you see Scotch and Red Wine don't need to be refrigerated.;)

Now back to the Shed Downunder...:rocker:

I hope to grab some QST this morning and knock up my drawer cases for my Go to bench..

Pics to follow.

The Rover K Series head modifications ( take two ) should be completed this week, it was stripped with the cam lobe reliefs and lifter bores milled out to suit. Andrew had to purchase another set of lifter shims as the set he had originally were best suited to the previous cam shafts, so that set us back a few days..

On another note and I am proud to say that the BELTSVILLE SHELL arrived safely here this week, so I full well intend to grab some quiet reading time in the Shed this weekend...:rocker:

Enjoy your weekend..

You make me feel so inadequate. I've never got around to getting a wheel (or making one). I just hand form clay out of the creek like the Indians but I fire it in a proper kiln. That's a little example on the broom machine (red cup) with the staples.

To intentionally belabor the point, Mr. 1/2 had just stated "No more 1/2 jokes".

I was distraught.

Devastated.

How could I go on if I couldn't make 1/2 jokes?

So I posted as many as I could as quickly as I could on as many threads as I could before I was banned for violating the dictum.

I'm still waiting...

There is just something so personal about a piece like yours..

Do you think we have milked it enough yet?
I wonder if 1/2 will share on the forum what I sent him to help celebrate the day?

Weather is not perfect here today but if it stays this way it will not be a 1/2 bad day tomorrow for 1/2.

HOTFR8, I sure will;)

Its fairly sunny here today with a bit of wind about..

:lol_hitti I think you only 1/2 milked it!

:lol_hitti

Now you just reminded me of this Chocolate advert >

HOTFR8, now that is a blast from the past.:lol_hitti

A glass and a 1/2 so my cup runeth over..:3gears:

All, QST what QST today:dunno:

Mrs 1/2 has been on a mission, never being one to do things by 1/2 s

The West Wing is now open for business:3gears:

As expected she went MIA this morning and that made me nervous.

Not to be satisfied with using the gear from here she retuned with:

A new 40 inch LED TV.

A new microwave.

Groceries

Chocolate treats.

Even a bunch of flowers for the lounge.

Whats a bloke supposed to do.:willy_nil

The kids are about 1/2 an hour from here
now and we a keen to seeing them with our new grandson #2 and letting them get settled into the West Wing..

We are out to dinner tonight and quite looking forward to having all the family together..:rocker:

Have a great day, you have made mine..

A nice sunny day here in fact it is so warm I have seen my Bluetongue Lizard about so if it is hot it enough for him it is hot enough for those other things.
I fear it is going to rain so I am trying to get all mowed here with the exception of that  wet patch.

Sounds like both 1/2's are having a full on  busy weekend.
Also sounds like you both deserve a full on weekend. Glad you enjoyed the blast form the past. ;)

Guys we have to stop with the 1/2 jokes.
If you have 1/2 a mind, we'd show a little courtesy to 1/2 and his better 1/2.
At least cut the number of 1/2 jokes in 1/2 and then by 1/2 again.
At least then there'd be only a 1/2 of 1/2 as many jokes and not even a whole 1/2.
Or maybe we could give Mr. 1/2 a 1/2 hour break from all the 1/2 jokes.
Even if 1/2 of us cut the 1/2 jokes in 1/2, (or is that "cut the 1/2 jokes BY 1/2?).
I mean we're seeing a 1/2 dozen jokes an hour on 1/2's thread, and we're going to end up using 1/2 of the space on his thread with 1/2 jokes.
I think Mr. 1/2 Cup deserves a little respect here!
After all, he never does 1/2 a job, or a 1/2-assed job on anything!
In fact a 1/2-assed job by 1/2 Cup is probably a better job by 1/2 than anyone else's double 1/2 job (two whole 1/2 that is!!!).

Just one question 1/2, I was wondering if your birthday comes before or after Mrs. 1/2 Cup's birthday, a.k.a. your better 1/2. Just wanted to know if you were the first 1/2 or the second1/2?

I'm going to sign off for now as I got rooked into putting in a 1/2 day tomorrow at the office, and I'd like to get at least a 1/2 night of sleep.

I know I've only said 1/2 as much as needs to be said.

1/2 a nice weekend!

Cheers!

Slim,:willy_nil:lol::lol_hitti:lol_hitti Once again you guys have started my day off with a big grin on my face. Andy and Slim, you guys only get 1/2 the credit becauase Hotfr8 gets 1 and1/2 with his post. So I guess now that I think about it, you guys only get 1/4 of the credit because there is only 1 whole to give and Hotfr8 gets 3/4 because he got 1 and 1/2.:rocker:

Have a most wonderful Sunday Steve. Happy 60th. (pssstt...I've still got another year to go before I'm there):D

1/2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY and hope you have a great day with your family.

ALL: my head is spinning trying to keep up with all the 1/2's, but one thing is for certain. 1/2 Cup and Mrs. 1/2 Cup make a damn good team.

also looks like after the kids leave there are maybe a few openings for the GJ DOWN UNDER B&B.:D

cheers

Seriously thank you one and all. I am truly humbled...

I would like to share a You Tube clip that HOTFR8 sent, especially for today.

:lol_hitti

Enjoy..:)

Cameron, Briana, Jayden (#grandson 1) and Isaac ( # grandson 2 ) arrived safely yesterday afternoon and quickly settled into the West Wing.

Jayden who is 4 going on 15 and I spent the rest of the afternoon playing with his Hot Wheels Colour Shifters.:3gears:

The beer fridge having a glass door proved a big hit with him and we could watch the cars change colour as they were chilled:)

Then out for dinner with the family which was a fantastic night I must say young Isaac took centre stage being introduced to our family for the first time.

I am just a tad on the slow side this morning, a loose tappet in my head would be the best way to describe the feeling.;)

So just going with the flow today and smell the roses....:)
