New install of a XPR-10AS-LP narrow configuration.

The arm on the power side seem to move up first and is higher than the other side.

When I set the lift down on its locks, the arms are level.

When I start going up, it looks like the power side goes first and then the equalizer cable for the left side tightens up and then its pulling the left side up. So the height difference is the slack in the cable.

Not sure about the role the equalizer cable plays is this process. The cable on the power side does not seem to be under much tension.

How do I get both sides to go up together.

Also, could it be that the cyclinder is not working on the other side and the arms are just being pulled up by the cables?

Sorry with so many questions... noob here.

yea they do that, its kinda nice, you can hear the locks clicking, instead of both at same time. I been trying to adjust mine but just gave up

Cables aren't adjusted right, the locks should click at the same time when going up

My Challenger lift doesn't do that. Arms are in sync and locks click in unison. It took some tweaking of the cable adjustment to get them in sync but it was not something that was a pain to accomplish.

On you columns there should be a larger, 5x8in black plastic cover for the cables. Pop that off and tighten the non power side cable. Try that and see what it does for you.

What does it do with a car on the lift? they can behave differently depending on load. I'm not that far from aldie in case you need help with anything

I think the instructions for mine say that they need to click within one second of each other. The amount of acceptable delay would be dictated by the spacing of the locks and rate of rise of your particular lift, though

A few days after installation I heard the non power side lock clicking late after the power side lock. That means usually that you need to tighten the non power side cable (behind the black plastic access panel on the col.). Point the front arms at each other, but a level across them (not the pads) and tighten non power cable until level. Standing a the control side you should hear both locks click at the same time (one click) if adjusted correctly. There is a section in the manual on this.
