Finally got my replacement out and fired it up. Good to go, cuts like butter.

Do you guys run these at max amps for everything? If not, what guidelines do you use for setting the power level?

I made the mistake of having my air pressure to high. It would blow out the arc and shut it down. I thought I had a problem and redid all the checks that others have been mentioning. For what ever reason I rechecked the air pressure and turned it down. It works fine after that.
I for one will never use it to much and need a good tutorial. Even though I will forget most of it the next time I use it. It is fun to use when I have a chance.

I am wondering if anyone has had any problems with the torch. I fired mine up today to cut some 3/8" plate. The magic smoke escaped from the torch head. I unhooked the torch from the machine and checked the switch and the pilot arc wire. They seem fine. I unscrewed the handle from the head to check the connection of the wire. That seemed fine.
The torch won't arc to cut but the air will blow through. I also changed the consumables but that didn't change anything. It seems like the problem is in the torch head. Is there any way to pull the head apart? Anyone else had torch problems?
I might just see if I can find a replacement torch head and try that if I can't get it apart.

Ok ladies and gentlemen, I need some help. My torch quit cutting. It only blows air. I took the torch apart. I thought the white wire might have shorted. I ran a new wire and tired it again. Still now arc. I can arc it against the steel I want to cut but it won't light. I used a multimeter to check continuity in the torch switch and it seems fine. Any other ideas?

I connected mine all together for the first time, just this evening. It has been in the equipment cabinet in my shop, since I bought it last summer; never before tried using it.
It is doing the same thing as mentioned in the previous 2 posts. The torch lit for several seconds, and I actually made about a 3/4 to 1" cut partially through the 1/8" steel bar, but then it quit. The air is still delivered to the torch when the trigger is pressed, and the LED display still shows whatever you set the amperage to, but no cut arc. Not sure what's going on with these units, but it's disappointing.
I paid the extra charge for the 'warranty exchange' program, but I don't know if any of those extra units purchased for the exchanges, are still available.
I will read through the thread, and see if there is anything obvious. Meanwhile, if anyone has a suggestion of how to see if the warranty exchange program is still in effect, I'd like to hear from them. Thanks...

Jeremy, thanks for the reply. Plasma cutting is new to me, but I've been working is and on electronics my whole life, so yes, I can do some component testing. Of course, measuring voltages is a simple task, as long as I know what to expect. ex; testing a diode is easy, but without knowing what to expect at various test points, would be difficult to pinpoint a problem.
I did take the cover off when I first got the unit last year, and checked for the things that as pointed out in earlier posts. Everything looked good, and the unit powered up and fan run. But I never connected the torch until

I wish that the member who said he was writing a sort of trouble-shooting and repair guide, had done it. He repaired his own unit, then got busy with his work. That would have been a great resource here on GJ. I'll see what I can find today.

I finally got a replacement torch in but then had a compressor issue that I had to work out. I ordered a different style than what it came with. One with a trigger instead of the thumb switch. For some reason, it was sent back to the seller. They notified me about it and resent it. Coming from China took it some time.
The torch head is the same style as what came with the unit. It was sold as AG 60F Pilot Cutter. I've attached a pic. It hooked up the same as the original. The head fits in the original torch. I've tried it out on some 1/8" and it worked. I'm looking around for some 7/64" female blade style connectors to hook up the wires to the new trigger and then I'll swap it over to the new handle.

First use of my new Chinese Cut50F; major fail.
So I got to put my new CUT50 to work the other night, or so I thought. The torch lit for only a few seconds, and it was very weak; it barely made a partial cut through 1/8" flat bar, and then it quit. The airflow would continue from the torch nozzle, and the display continues to show the 30A setting (or anything the knob sets it to), but that is all.
So I fired off a PM to Sean, but have not heard back from him yet. Hoping he, and my extended warranty will get me back to whole. I just took the cover off the unit, and this is what I found:

Lots of views, but no responses, and nothing back re the VM messages or pm's I sent to "Aquamoose". Does anyone here have any suggestions on how to proceed, to obtain either an exchange unit, or at least a replacement circuit board? All the damage seems to be contained to the one board posted in the above pics. I thought I would at least hear back from Sean by now. Is he OK? Has anyone here heard from him in the last week?

I have called Sean (Aquamoose), on all 3 of the phone numbers that I have for him, and have left mesages. I have pm'd him several times, and I have emailed him. I see that he has been active on GJ in the week or so since I'ven been trying to get some sort of help from Sean, but I can only believe that he is ignoring me, but why is the question.
I have a unit that came from him, paid for the "additional" replacement warranty, and is actually still in the original 1 year factory warranty. I just don't know what to do.
If anyone else has, or is having trouble with their CUT50, I would like to know what they have done to get it fixed. I'm really at a loss about Sean not responding to any of my all very polite/professional messages to him.

My apologies, I have been out of town too many times and I'm only catching up on work & family. I did not have the notification settings configured correctly and I've only been leisurely been around the forum during my brief down times.
The two warranty units here were gone. I tried to fix two member's units with the spare parts (boards) I have and had no luck so they got the replacement units. One other I was able to fix & return. I do have spare boards that China gave me so if anyone can pinpoint the faulty boards, I can send them your way.
I will look up the emails in the next few days after to see what I missed.

Took down the cutter after no use for the last several months. needed a quick cut on 1/4" bar stock. It ran great, no problems.

Was curious as no updates to this thread in a while. Mostly if Will S got his running.
Only issues Ive had are tips and burning off the guides...consumables. Cuts as well as my shaky hand allows. Use mine more than I thought I would but usually just sits on the shelf. When used, for a tool, its paid for itself just in the time it saves and ease of addressing a task.
Recently cut trucks center console seat base for a storage box.

Finally getting around to setting this up. Found lots of info on the plugs etc. but did not find the actual amp requirement. Will 30amp cut it? (no pun intended). If not, what is the recommend breaker on this?

Machine rated input is 25amp. So 30 should be sufficient.

I have to say that I am surprised in a good way of how well the pc works. Usually when a cut starts out bad, it's my fault. I forgot to crank it up for thicker metal or the air compressor is switched off and I ran out of air.
I'm open to more group buys after this experience.

Group buy machines is 220v and has pilot arc, that machine is 110 and far as I can tell there is no pilot arc.
