The weird thing is while it's off the fastener, it seems like there's no power. In other words, it doesn't twist like a pneumatic does when you blip the trigger, but once you put it on the nut/bolt it comes to life and puts out some serious torque. The dcf899 is my first cordless impact and I'm impressed more and more each time I use it. I haven't touched my pneumatic since buying it over a year ago.

I'm always remodeling the house so the Dewalt miter saw and ryobi impact driver are my most used tools. I guess I can say one of the 100 tape measures I have laying around here get used almost daily also. If I knew I would use the impact driver as much as I do I would have bought a Milwaukee impact but I just can't seem to kill the ryobi yet.

I only use my pneumatic when I can't fit the "punisher" into a tight spot. Best Dewalt tool I own.

I kid you not...using the World Wide Web and searching for information in order to write the tool stories for the GJ is my # 1 tool.

PS: I hope that you are enjoying my stories about all the tool companies along with pictures of all the tools in each story.

Homeowner.

Without a doubt my HF screwdrivers are the most used tools, with a flashlight second and a hammer third.

Same here, screwdrivers are my most used tools, but I bought a set of Vaco (Klein) orange handled ones. I figure it's such a frequently used tool, may as well spend a little. They were only $25 off ebay (new old stock).

I need some stubbies though. I could've used a stubby today when I installed a new blower/heater into the electric fireplace. Had to use an offset instead.

It has a permanent home on the workbench and has never seen the inside of a toolbox drawer:

Right now at this time of year it is a 9/16 and a 3/4 socket and HF ratchet. I sharpen a lot of chainsaws and these are the most frequent sizes to remove the chains. You should see what some chains come in looking like. Ken

Southbend lathe gets a lot of use. I can tell because when I clean it up, it's covered in chips a day later. TIG welder is working it's way up the list. Sheet metal tools as a group. Beverly shear a lot. Lots of light fab work so there are a lot of tools involved in any given project. I don't have them all, but I'm working on it.

Petersen 5wr, in plier pocket on right side of pants. Original style leatherman (still the best) in left pants pocket. Mini mag lite led AA on left hip.

Don't leave home without any of them. Or my tinted safety glasses.

3/8 drive snap on flex head ratchet and shallow sockets 6-19mm get 90% of my use. Mostly dirt bikes and Toyotas

I'm a college student. But i work industrial maintenance in the summer. My most used tools are a streamlight inspection flashlight a 4 in 1 screwdriver, a 10 inch craftsman adjustable and a pair of 420 channellock a. Mostly because that's what I carry on me all the time. At home I'd say it's my craftsman mechanics toolset with my snap on flex head long handled 3/8 ratchet.

As of late my fuel 1/2 and 3/8 impacts have been getting quite the workout ( along with numerous impact sockets ) those fuel impacts are the best tool money I have spent in years.

Makita LXT brushless impact driver. Use it more than I thought I would. Finessing small screws to doing lug nuts. It can do it all.
