I got it more to run off my solar system. I won't be able to use the 220v but that's ok. My generator is either a 3000w Honda inverter or paralleled champion 2000w inverters.
It was very easy to install, great instructions and very simple to do.
Basically remove the line from the breaker, wire nut it to the black from the TS. Red from the TS to the breaker. One green ground from the TS to ground bus. One neutral from the TS to the neutral bus bar. Done. Flip of a switch your on utility and back to gen/solar. You can even have some breakers in utility and some on generator.

No room on either side. I still have to trim out my door. I can reach it fine and because it will be hooked up to my solar system 99.9% of the time I'm glad it's high and out of the way. It still has a faceplate to go on it. I will frame it all in so it becomes a flush mount along with the panel.

Thanks! I only have a 3000W champion inverter, but would love the ability to feed the house if I had too. Just the furnace and fridges. Everything else doesn't matter. That TS would be more than enough.

Got a nice fire going in the stove, bypassed the seat switch on my Wheelhorse, tried out my new table saw, and started tearing out the old workbench to make room for a new work table this week.

Nothing much yesterday and today. Rescrewed the work bench to the wall, 4" screws....it's not gonna move much!

If anything today it will be clean up after I fix the flat tire on the DD since I will hate myself at work knowing I still got to do that!

Then pack up my tool box since I been off for 2 months.

I reworked the first knife I made to flatten the grind. Put agate scales on the second and used a piece of drop to make a third. I lost my hold on the petrified wood scale just as I was finishing the grind. Anyway, each one gets better and I'm learning a ton.

Started getting my shop set back up again after a move to a new house. Paint and RaceDeck coming soon, but needed to get some tools in place to finish projects for now.

My new neighbor works for the local Toll Road authority. They recently went "cashless" and closed all toll booths. As a result, he got some old equipment and gave me a bench that was used in a money counting room.

I added a backboard and LED light to it and it makes a great workstation for my lathe and polisher. Also got my dust collection back up and running.

Good for you Kay!

Replaced the alternator in the DD rig. Never quite saw one that was bad "sometimes" (Long story omitted...)

Finished installing a new timing belt / water pump kit in my neighbor's '03 Tundra 4.7L V8.

Thing fought me every inch of the way. 14yrs, 140k mi, don't think any of the bolts had ever been removed. And their steel was so mild I had to buy some fresh 6-pt tools to keep from making a mess of things with my older worn 12-pt stuff.

original plugs to, with center electrode greatly worn / sloped. And hard to get out, with a ring of carbon built up on their last couple threads inside the cylinder. Had to work them back and forth and shoot some penetrating oil down there and let them soak, to break that up and not gall or strip the threads in the aluminum head.

One other bit, I could not get the crank pulley bolt loose. Tried all sorts of things, three different impacts, etc. Torch heat. Chilling the bolt. Nothing. Got down to two last methods -
1) pull the flywheel inspection plate and jam it with a pry bar so I could get a big breaker / cheater on the nut, or
2) breaker and cheater on the crank bolt, with the cheater wedged against the underside of the passenger side frame rail, and bump the starter. That's the one that worked, plainly heard the 'tung' as it broke loose. Spinning totally free and easy. Should have started with that technique, instead of screwing around for a full day with other methods.

The original Delphi alt on my 240k 4.3L failed the same way, intermittenly. Wouldn't work until it warmed up. I think its caused by a bad connection in the voltage regulator or somewhere.

Picked up a '95 Polaris 400 2 stroke quad, 1 owner, stored indoors with 1,100 miles for a buck a mile. It was leaking gas so I pulled the carb and put a rebuild kit in it ($24). It was clean as a whistle in there before I started and now it doesn't leak. Next is to replace the chains and sprockets.

Those are original 21 year old tires, no cracks.

I have a 98 explorer 300 with factory tires. Less tread than yours but zero cracks or fading - whatever they used in those tires is a damn miracle product

Great engines btw I had low compression and rebuilt mine for less than $100

I finished installing my new (used) front seats in my beater Explorer project. I found some 2000 Mountaineer seats in excellent shape in a junkyard. Leather, power adjustable, and have the side-impact airbags built in that I needed. I also reinstalled the driver's door panel.

Maybe it's because I'm a lardass and I tend to destroy drivers seats, but it amazes me how pristine some junk yard seats can be. A car with a ton of miles, completely used up, sitting in a junk yard, and the seats are nicer than mine, lol.

Got the rest of the old insulation out of the 2.5 bay side of the garage attic last night. Still need to clean up the old wiring (remove) and finish stapling up the new wiring. After that it will all get vacuumed out, soffit baffles stapled up, and then R30 batts laid in.
