This time of the year is really busy for work. I worked yesterday and putting another 6 days in next week. After some work around the hours I got some QST this after noon.
I've been using the A/V cart to hold my welding stuff so it was time to get new welding cart/ table working. Well things didn't go as plan. I ended up changing the casters because old ones didn't roll great. I went from 4 2" swivels to 3" caster with 2 fixed and 2 swivels. Once I did that the cart itself was all out of wack. I cut all the welds and straighten everything out best I could. This is bed frame I welded and cut apart few times so it's was last chance to make it all work or I'll scrap it and build new.
I got some good welds on it and here's kinda the plan.
The middle shelf. The welder will be mounted to a piece of plywood and that plywood will slide between 2 pieces of angle. This will make the welder a lot easier to take somewhere as needed. That's the reason I got a small portable welder but all my previous carts didn't make it easy to remove it from the cart. KISS ( keep it simple stupid ) I think this is as simple as I can make it.
The new layout of garage has actually been working out tooo good. The work wall was supposed to have the ability to have current projects or working on projects that I can still bring the car is in. I can honestly say it's been working really well because this side of my garage is our freaking mess.
I'm using one 44 and the side as my common tools while I have a project on the work wall just roll in front of the others.
Once I pull the cars and I have room for the mess on the Work Wall and 44
Right now I have a bunch of stuff crammed behind the workbench, welding table and the AV cart, I got stuff in spot where welding table is suppose to go. Once I deal with that stuff it should move back couple more inches to give me more room. But at least right now I'm keeping all the mess to at least one part of the garage and are able to park the cars in the garage nightly.
