And did she return the favor by allowing you to have a corner in her house? Like maybe one side of the bed.:lol_hitti

Starting to make a plan of when I'm coming down. I'll be in touch soon.

Actually, I do get one side of the bed. Unfortunately, anybody that has a dog understands how that goes. Me and dog get one half and she gets the other. I do have a 4th bedroom that's my inside inside man room. I share that with Sammy and Feddy (cat and dog).

That's great! I'm sure you're looking for a little break from the cold weather up there. Bring the guys over have a few beers some good laughs. Going to be a great time I can't wait.

Taumac,
Perhaps I missed it but has the calendar gone missing? I was looking forward to Miss December. Also keep on keeping on, you will someday have a usable garage, but I know it'll never be done.

Well he's livin' in high cotton now that he has those brand new, shiny, matching tool boxes. He probably don't have time for us regular folk.:bounce:

 Too funny, and I remember those days all too well.

Looking great over there Gerard. That full lineup of toolboxes was pretty awesome and it is great to see them now integrated into the place.

You know this, too?! Nice to know I'm not alone. Maybe one reason my garage is always so cluttered is that SWMBO won't enter for any reason, lol.

Oh man my bad... I was going to post Miss December after I did another post. I must have gotten side tracked. I do that tonight when I get home.

The garage is getting there slowly. This time change really just takes all the motivation out of me. Seems by the time I get home take the dog out and wife and I sit down for dinner it's too late to start anything in the garage. I got both cars in there now and just trying to figure out what I want to do with A/V cart, welding table, and mobile bench.

The bench comes down do I want to make drawers or sliding doors? I want to to be lower so how do I want to do that? The way those casters are installed now it's pretty hard to lower unless I put new frame under and mount casters to frame. The work top? Do I want to cut down top I made for it or do something else?

The A/V cart is great but do I want to use it welding cart/ table or make other table I made into that? Got a lot of ideas floating around in my head just don't know which ones to go with. I'm trying this whole new idea... more planning less changing. LOL

I figured that would get your goat.

Yep, wife goes to bed pretty earlier cause of her job and not uncommon to find the cat and the dog all spread out on my side of the bed. LITTLE F@cKERS!!!

I'm really liking the new toolbox line up. It's really going to come together in the future. Glad to see you back around.

That's one way to keep them out. LOL. Every house we lived in I claimed the garage. First one was a single which couldn't fit on regular basis so I turned it into small shop. This one is the 2nd house and said it's MINE!!! When I got the new toolboxes I said "Honey, what if I.... " that's as far as I got before I got the look of NO YOUR NOT! I said my room doesn't have much in it and they are brand new. NOPE, they stay in the garage. LOL

This time of the year is really busy for work. I worked yesterday and putting another 6 days in next week. After some work around the hours I got some QST this after noon.

I've been using the A/V cart to hold my welding stuff so it was time to get new welding cart/ table working. Well things didn't go as plan. I ended up changing the casters because old ones didn't roll great. I went from 4 2" swivels to 3" caster with 2 fixed and 2 swivels. Once I did that the cart itself was all out of wack. I cut all the welds and straighten everything out best I could. This is bed frame I welded and cut apart few times so it's was last chance to make it all work or I'll scrap it and build new.

I got some good welds on it and here's kinda the plan.

The middle shelf. The welder will be mounted to a piece of plywood and that plywood will slide between 2 pieces of angle. This will make the welder a lot easier to take somewhere as needed. That's the reason I got a small portable welder but all my previous carts didn't make it easy to remove it from the cart. KISS ( keep it simple stupid ) I think this is as simple as I can make it.

The new layout of garage has actually been working out tooo good. The work wall was supposed to have the ability to have current projects or working on projects that I can still bring the car is in. I can honestly say it's been working really well because this side of my garage is our freaking mess.
bccc420753b8603b9e0e5a333cf6af8c.jpg

I'm using one 44 and the side as my common tools while I have a project on the work wall just roll in front of the others.
030a327deb4d3ad44c67ece4c11c8d12.jpg

Once I pull the cars and I have room for the mess on the Work Wall and 44

Right now I have a bunch of stuff crammed behind the workbench, welding table and the AV cart, I got stuff in spot where welding table is suppose to go. Once I deal with that stuff it should move back couple more inches to give me more room. But at least right now I'm keeping all the mess to at least one part of the garage and are able to park the cars in the garage nightly.

Nice work with new layout. You are functional and building projects as still able to park both cars. I wish I could say the same, but then I'd need a 4 dar garage. Welding cart looks good simple but usable.

The time you work on there, the more you'll determine what works.

On a side note: I have a couple of bench grinders for sale. :D

LOL, I think after 10 years I would know by now! Finally, I got layout I can work with and actually do some work. That's a novel concept. LOL

Thank you! Having a work bench set up like I do and being able to move those toolboxes out and roll my projects in that area is something I don't know why I haven't come up with sooner but it's really nice. I guess is not the destination but the journey you took to get there.

Space I could always use more space but what I'm really happy about is meeting you and getting the whole crew over to the house. It's gonna be a good time.

Looks good to me Gerard, even the messy spot :D

Are you going to paint the welding cart ? I vote 44" red colour.

My garage is full of **** again, so I really need to get out and clean up when the rest of the tribe get to bed.

Cheers GB.

OH NO!!! You used the "P" word. You should know by now I don't.... PAINT!!! . Well that's a good question there GB. Well in House B the cabinet, welding table, A/V and the mobile bench will all be on the Fab Wall. I also have 2 nice metal shelving units I got my in laws which are mate or satin black. The A/V cart and mobile bench are black already. Ok I did some test red on the mobile bench but it's mostly black. Since this is a Fab Wall I thought black would be a good color. I have no thoughts of painting any of the HF cabinets so thought maybe of doing later Craftsman color scheme.

ee5a86741fc3f4dd750bccc32d8fc752.jpg

This is a toolbox I got few years back and father is currently using it at his house. I'm thinking this might be new scheme. I also have some Craftsman boxes with same gray and the WOC. So black, red black or red and gray is direction I'm thinking.

those two vises on the counter, the one on the right sure is a nice looking one.

It's sure is. It's a Columbian 403 1/2 swivel base swivel jaw.

e449c39667641da40dd749246052ce6c.jpg

I did some research on it and date back to late 1920's. My dads neighbor had it and I knew a certain guy that happens to have a collection of Columbian vises. I figured he would be surly interested in it. LOL!!!
