Suction line upsizing 7/8" to 1 1/8"

I'm installing a Goodman 3.5 ton heat pump. I have a question about the suction line. Because my air handler is more than 25' away Goodman is recommending going from 7/8" to 1 1/8" on the suction line.

The unit looks to be setup with a female swagged fitting for 7/8" but I noticed the 1 1/8" line fits over the outside of the fitting with a degree of sloppiness. I'm wondering if the intent is to silver solder the 1 1/8" line directly over these fittings or should I purchase a reducer for both the condenser and evaporator.

Mueller W 01049, they use that same part# for both a 7/8"x1 1/8" refrigeration fitting and a 3/4"x 1" sweat water fitting.

Water line fitting will likely be just fine as long as you avoid the cheapest china made stuff.

Whats the SEER rating of the unit? i see no reason at all on up to a 50 ft run with no more than 10ft of rise to upsize at all.

The second one looks to be a fitting reducer, the 1" side would be sized to go inside a fitting rather then over the pipe, in other words the 1" side would be the same diameter as the pipe.

Seer is 16. The 1 1/8 is as recommended by the manufacture from 26 to 50 ft. At this point I already have the lineset.

Also to answer the ftting quetion, no, regular plumbing fittings are no good here. Any HVAC supply house will have the right ones.
