Personally I never cared for the flimsy baseplates on those Craftsman saws. I had a big one years ago my first and sold it to buy a Makita.
As an inexpensive alternative to buying an older used saw in unknown condition I would also suggest looking a factory recon like at CPO Maybe something like this Skil
You can also buy new for as low as $40 with Ryobi at HD
OK, well thanks guys, maybe I'll look for one closer then, or check out the Ryobi.For light use, pretty much ANY circular saw will work.
The blade is ****. Buy a decent carbide tip blade. It will make all of the difference.
