Does the Reed 206 use the same one? I have a project 206 sitting on the floor LOL.
The split nut on the 4c is 3" across, but I believe I found a donor with a 4c.

Does anyone here have a Reed 4C split-nut that they are willing to send to Kevin Scott so he can make a duplicate for me? PLEASE???

Zoomie. I have a lot of pieces and parts for the Emmertts but not enough to have a whole vise. If anyone needs something PM me and I'll see if I can help you out.

Does anyone have an EMMERT machinist vise they are willing to trade?
(Or an EMMERT (or any other brand) Patternmakers Vise, for that matter...)
I WILL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE!
Let me know, Thanks Fella!

Sorry Zoom I literally sold the only one of those I had about three weeks ago.

Is there a Wilton swivel base I can use to turn my 800N into a swiveler? Is there any casting differences between the body of an 800N vs an 800S or is it just the addition of the swivel?
Also, I'm in need of a swivel base for a Reed 406. The old girl I have has a busted base.
Anybody got any tips on Reed "R" vises on getting the screw that keeps the split nut collar from turning out? I have been working on my 203 1/2R for a while now, Kroil, propane torch and hand impact driver and no luck.
The 800N and S have the same body. Send Autopts here a PM, he can probably get you a swivel base assembly. Just know the large Wilton swivel bases aren't super robust, and have been known to crack.

I'm still curious what you are getting, West of I-69...?
I'm not buying anything locally as far as vises right now, so no worries there, I won't horn in on your deal anyway, not my style...
But, I am going to "ANVIL HEAVEN" this weekend to pick up a couple of things, if you are interested, let me know...

I sent you a PM the other day. I'm going to look at several things, but the really interesting thing is an 8" Fisher & Norris double-screw chain drive vise![]()
The other day I ran across a 6" FPU. First time I seen one in the wild. Today I bought a different one. It has a cracked collar, no biggie.

Is it just cracked or are there chunks missing?
Did you loosen the side set screw that keeps it in place? Dumb question, I know.
The side set screw is what I am trying to get out.
