Does anyone have an EMMERT machinist vise they are willing to trade?
(Or an EMMERT (or any other brand) Patternmakers Vise, for that matter...)

I WILL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE!

Let me know, Thanks Fella!

Zoomie. I have a lot of pieces and parts for the Emmertts but not enough to have a whole vise. If anyone needs something PM me and I'll see if I can help you out.

Anybody got any tips on Reed "R" vises on getting the screw that keeps the split nut collar from turning out? I have been working on my 203 1/2R for a while now, Kroil, propane torch and hand impact driver and no luck.

Is there a Wilton swivel base I can use to turn my 800N into a swiveler? Is there any casting differences between the body of an 800N vs an 800S or is it just the addition of the swivel?

Also, I'm in need of a swivel base for a Reed 406. The old girl I have has a busted base.

The 800N and S have the same body. Send Autopts here a PM, he can probably get you a swivel base assembly. Just know the large Wilton swivel bases aren't super robust, and have been known to crack.

I'm still curious what you are getting, West of I-69...?

I'm not buying anything locally as far as vises right now, so no worries there, I won't horn in on your deal anyway, not my style...
But, I am going to "ANVIL HEAVEN" this weekend to pick up a couple of things, if you are interested, let me know...

Take Care!!!
Mike

BTW, I am picking up these...:bounce:

Try to soak it in a 50/50 acetone/transmission fluid mix. Or electrolysis tank

The other day I ran across a 6" FPU. First time I seen one in the wild. Today I bought a different one. It has a cracked collar, no biggie.

Lift with your legs Zoom.---Trust me.:bounce:

If it's cast iron, and I like it... I OWN IT, VA, LOL!
I will take your advice, at least it's not a bunch of HUGE ROCKS, take care of that back, SIR!

I think I will put Blacksmith hammers in one and PEXTO tools and Hardies in the other...
Or firewood, if my girl gets her way, LOL!:lol_hitti

Did you loosen the side set screw that keeps it in place? Dumb question, I know.

I sent you a PM the other day. I'm going to look at several things, but the really interesting thing is an 8" Fisher & Norris double-screw chain drive vise

That's the style I'm looking for, JOE.

I'd love to have KEVIN fit a set of swivel jaws to one of those, I just have never seen one for sale "complete". Those OEM swivel jaws must be the rarest "part number" in all of VISEDOM!

I've got 3 EMMERT patternmakers vises and am working on a deal for a 4th. I am always interested, because I have three, 15' long bowling lanes and I would like a complete set of EMMERTS mounted to one of them. Unfortunately shipping has halted a lot of deals for me...

Take care!
