I did, but could not find it. I did not use 'vintage' though. Let me try that. thanks.
Hopefully it's still available.I did, but could not find it. I did not use 'vintage' though. Let me try that. thanks.
Thank very much. My issue is that I don't have any keys. I could go out to the shed and look for a number on the lock.

So where would I find period-correct key blank for my 12-72 Craftsman chest?
Glad you got it as it's now in the GJ family.Yes it did. I bought it. I am going to scan it in and try and make some decals from it. If I decide to sell it, I'll let you know. The pin holes are not in the right spot for my chest.![]()
those are one way fasteners. basically designed to not be removed. there is a tool made but it doesnt work very well.I just acquired a 1988' MAC mb9100 top box and want to do some restoration on the unit. Is anyone familiar with how to remove the screws holding the side handles on? I have not run into a screw head like this before. Its basically cut in the shape of an X with the flat part positioned that a flat head screwdriver is able to tighten the screws but really has no flat surface to grab to unscrew them.
Here is a toolbox I picked up on Friday that I'm pretty excited about. It's a round top with the cantilever trays. I already started stripping the paint from it.

Thanks for the kind comments. Zee- your box thread is a inspiration. This should be a fun project for me for the next few months. I plan to fill it up with a complete set of 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 in. BE socket set I picked up last fall.
So why buy it, you ask? I guess I like a challenge, and this box was calling my name. I'm going to see how good I can polish this turd, I might even get it respectable enough to keep.
So there is no latch plate on the bottom front rail? That shouldn't be too hard to remedy. A cylinder lock is easy.
As to Mfg, I've no clue. I can't recall seeing a top lid quite like that. It does have a certain cool factor. Is it std 12 deep front to back and 26 wide?
Nope. That, my friend, is a paint run, the former owner laid it on thick with the spray bomb, and he was painting the drawers upside down, so what looks like the top of an oval-shaped badge is actually an inverted paint blob.
But good eye!
