You have something that is not needed, that is keeping You from getting something You need ??
I have been that Old Guy more than once.. Similar to Your case, a Young Fellow in the next bay bought a used, but nice box from SnapOn and placed his little carry box of tools in their new home. But he lacked a needle nose, his claw hammer had one claw broken off, no punches or chisels, and He had little else.. He welcomed himself to what He considered an open door policy to My tools and equipment.. He borrowed My test light one afternoon, and forgot it on a customer's vehicle. When I asked for it's return, He then remembered where it was, and told Me about "MY" sad news about the loss.. I just calmly told Him the SnapOn truck will be here on Thursday, and the price of a new test light.. He turned very sour and head out the door to track down the customer's vehicle, hoping it was still in the area.. He came back with that test light about 45 minutes later.. His attitude played out that He had really gone out of His way to get it. That was the day I finally told Him that I bought My tools for when I needed them, was tired of looking all over for them; and He would have to buy His own.
I suggested returning the unpaid for toolbox back to SnapOn, and check out the trade-in tools on the SnapOn truck. SnapOn did end up reloading that box. The Young Guy did see the light, and Thanked Me for Helping Him out.
Crazy ****, but I have a story to go along with it. Now I am going to read the other thread
