Got to HD at closing last night, just in time to see that they had 2 of the top boxes, still boxed up. When I got there this morning about 1/2 hour after opening they only had one left. I started to load up that one and the guy in tools yelled at me to stop. He told me I had to buy them as a set. I said that they are listed with separate skus online. He confirmed and said the price was $329 for the top. He wrote the sku down and told me to go to the pro desk. Guy at pro desk punched in the sku and it came up at $75 as I thought it would. He said that's wrong and called the guy from tools. He came over all pissy and said he wouldn't sell it for $75. Called the manager over who was confused but easily convinced by the tool guy that it should only be sold as a set for $649. Did not push too hard and walked out. My question is which employee bought the other top box between last night at close and this morning? Dirty.
Went to a different HD that had them unboxed and set up as sets. Asked the lady in tools about separating and she said no problem. Looked up the sku and found it was on clearance. Immediately printed out clearance tags and asked how many I wanted. Guys came over to help load and freaked out over the price and told the lady to stop printing clearance tags because guys said they were buying the remaining boxes. She said, nope, I'm doing my job and printing clearance tags and not holding for you guys. Nice job, lady
Anyway, great deal and glad to be the early bird instead of the worm for once. Thanks for posting.
You will find some of the grimiest people, and some of the nicest people in retail. You found both at the same time.
If I needed any of those tops you guys are mentioning, I'd be all over it. I already have the Husky 52" 18-drawer chest, as well as Husky 52" mobile workbench.
Keep those finds coming! My HD has some stuff on endcaps, but we are talking at 10% discount. Never seen anything like these.

fyi, that test set is a POS. At that price its well worth it. Great if you are walking around all day with it on your hip though.

that is a UPC
HD sku: 6 or 10 digits (bolded # above barcode, start with: 1000, 1001, 1002 for 10 digits skus; 6 digit sku's have 4 zero's starting))
UPC: 12 digits (most bottom # & what shows on your receipt)
why are you all wasting posts asking for **** that is in the picture? unless you are blind and using text to audio, read the picture (its the equivalent of a picture book, nice & easy)

Hahah, I don't know what's going on here, but anyways, both welders I bought were open boxes, so they gave me the 10%.. I don't think check out lady realized they were clearance items. I also gave them a pro number but don't think that's why I got it

MET person told me to tell cashier to give me 10% off because the clearance item I was buying was opened (box of dewalt nails, $12.00) Cashier didn't even flinch and did not say anything about clearance. So I think it a standard practice, just don't share it on slickdeals cause we will loose it.
I found what looked like an older version of the Lincoln welder. The manager refused to sell the older model since they had identical sku numbers that is the reason why I asked for the sku on the marked welder. I have to go back later to check if the upc is identical but I have a feeling the box won't be there when I go back. Is there any chance you can take a picture of the box of the marked down welder?

I know people that are blind too, and seem more capable than some of the people asking silly questions. I wasn't trying to be funny or mean, but it wouldn't have made sense to reference another disability.

What's the price on the Roundup sprayer? Does it also come with premix, or do I have to dilute it myself? How much comes in the container to start with? Could you cut open the box and make sure there isn't anything missing? Does the tape go vertical or horizontal on the bottom? How will the date on the box affect the potency of any Roundup I buy in the future?

Story I heard was they dropped to $75 on the 23rd around 3pm CT. They started to pull them down and position them to sell and printed off the tags. He showed me the $75 tags. Then at 8am the next morning they had new tags at $225 for the correction in price. Seems it was a priority to get them on.
So the $75 price came and went...
The Dewalt 36" top is at $75 (at least some stores in MN)

It doesn't matter. You put the UPC into the search at homedepot.com and you'll have all the answers to your unnecessary question. Ya know, the number in the green highlighter in the picture.

You can check the item on homedepot.com, a lot of times the item with the sku is still on the website.

This would make sense. I double checked the SLP store today, that previously showed them at $75, they were back to $275.

I can confirm that SLP was $75.03 yesterday. Interesting it went back up. There are tons of them around the Twin Cities (47... yeah 4-7) in the 10 or so stores I've visited so they'll have to drop eventually.

Had an associate offer 10% as well on a compressor they brought down for me since the box was pretty busted up. Compressor was fine. I turned it down since I wasn't sure how they were going to charge me 9/10s of a penny.

I went to 3 HD today, and called 2 other ones. All of the ones except for one I went to had the welder in stock, at $419, as did the ones I called. The other one had it marked at $105, but no welder.
I really wanted one pretty badly. I'm hoping to learn to weld once my garage build is finished, and this looked to be a good way to start out without a huge layout. Anyone have any idea if it will go at the other stores?

I looked at two stores the past three days, one with mw boxes in stock still at 225, one with out stock at 75, figures..
What's the deal with the dw boxes? Saw in plain sight tagged at $74 (was 99) but website listed at 250. Pca doesn't show it as a clearance item even at 74, I'm just not used to seeing stuff like that. Was it originally 250? I think I'll pick one up after work
