Picked up a rigid 5 gallon tri stack compressor for $75.03. Said original was $299 (thought I snapped a pic of the tag but I didn't).

It seems to be gone from the mobile app, so I hope it's decent.

Damn I just checked the PCA and they're right! My store has a stack incorrectly priced. My guess once the store figures it out these will just ****! vanish. That's what happened to the multi-ladders

The manager believe it or not is smart. Because of the hazmat issue they just can't pour down the drain. To dispose of correctly they will incur a fee, so it's actually cheaper for them to leave out with a penny sticker and let someone buy it.

Hit up the Euclid Home Depot to see what I could find. They have the welder, it is still the original price, I had someone scan it. Same with the $604 stranded copper cable, still the original price. Apparently it's regional when stores mark things down, can someone clarify?

I have a few additions and I will add how many items are left, if you are local;
Oil-less fryer and roaster, $28.04 (8)
Weber pizza stone, $8.83 (1)
Weber poultry roaster, $12.03 (3)
2-pack cedar planks $2.33 (0)
Log racks and log rack covers (many)
Echo silent twist line 2.83
Grabbed the tree pruners, still a lot of the $10 ones left
Well point, whatever that is, looked like a good deal, lol (2)

That's a first for me in seeing that, almost bought some cheap sockets just to see if the POS matched the terminal or the tag. In years of doing this, I've never found a tag price below the app price. It is either correct or system price cheaper than the tag price.

You don't have to buy it to find out. Hit "price check" on self checkout and scan the item.

They've jacked up the Husky Limited Top Chest price to $119. I'm surprised those boxes were never set aside in clearance.

Man, my store never has any of the good stuff even in stock to drool over waiting to drop... :( All this stuff that you guys find is still usually regular price or hardly discounted at my store.

There was a TON of bayer pesticide not too long ago that was all clearanced out sitting in their usual spots. When (I'm guessing) they went penny they all disappeared... And there was a LOT... Don't know where it ended up, maybe they donated it to a local charity place, I don't think any employee would want to take home a bunch of grass killer and termite killer and stuff like that... lol, maybe I'm wrong.

My store had only one top chest that was discounted, at $112 I believe, and the thing was bent so bad it wasn't even square or level anymore. :(

About the only decent thing right now is the Tapcon screws went .03...

Holy cow! I want one of those Milwaukee's so bad! Though it will probably be another month before my store even starts to reduce the price... But there are supposedly 14 in stock (still) at my store so I can wait...

Not sure if I want this or the 52" Husky...

As of yesterday my store still had the Milwaukee lowers at $280 but uppers had gone from the $299 "yellow" (after $75 and $225) to $299 "white," ie not "clearance."

I do, however, like that the above store was SMART enough to realize if upper and lower individually are cheaper it makes no sense to try to charge $698 for the COMBO.

except if they combine them, they lose a lot less money. Smart for us, not so much for HD. A non-deal hunter wouldn't know any better. They could take $100 off and still be much farther ahead. These stores got the bottoms to the tops near me.

If I was in college (and had money, probably the lesser likely), I think my spring break would involve seeing how many HD's I could hit up. Probably have to get a deal on trailer first

Could someone clarify what exactly goes on with this?

Is it as simple as any purchases made at HD during the stated period can have the receipts submitted and you'll get 11% back?

Seems to simple/good to be true.

Any limitations?

Unfortunately not as simple as that anymore. YMMV if you are in an actual Menard's region. Mine have been repeatedly declined because C/S states it was not a purchase made at a qualifying store.

I ask politely to escalate this to someone as the flyer itself only states qualifying ITEMS not at participating LOCATIONS. I also politely ask to see the list of stores that count as a qualifying participant. At that point, on 2 occasions thus far, it goes "to upper management for review" and eventually gets approved. I just received my second set after 6 weeks of inquiries for purchases I made in Dec 2016.

I apologize in advance if people seem to feel that this is comparable to those who called and ranted about voodoo purchases. My argument, more or less, is that they should change the verbage on the form. Items mean items (or SKUs not store specific) and locations that qualify are two completely different things. If they were wise that would be a simple change on their part. So far for Feb's form the words are exactly the same as they have been. Good luck.

I'm with you...my store rarely has any great deals. I went to another store about 1.5 hrs away last weekend and couldn't get over how different the store was and they had 3-4 different clearance areas. They had a much different selection of milwaukee tools also.

Just checked my store, the Milwaukee's are still at $698... Funny thing is, the tag has the old model # (I guess from around Christmas): 1000-786-557 which doesn't even show up in the system. But if you search by the model number on the side of the boxes it shows the current one... Don't think they would let me roll that out for a penny.

Husky 52" was showing $498 in PCA vs $598 online, so maybe those will drop in the coming weeks, I would really like one of those instead for more room.

System showed one Ridgid framing nailer, but couldn't locate it in the store. Even had an associate help me, we looked behind all the other nailers and such and no luck. Would have been nice to have for $58 for some future projects, but I'll probably just buy a cheap HF or maybe find a good deal at a pawn shop.

Actually I noticed it does now say:
"Promotion is valid in select US The Home Depot stores"

From here:
https://www.homedepotrebates.com/11percentmatch/

That's better-ish, kinda. Still vague, but at least they're stating stores.

It said this for the January '17 form too (I just now clicked refresh on the link above it automatically went to February as I previously had the January called up in a pre-existing tab)

edit: I should say I'd like to see a list of the stores 'just cause. It should be my right to ask. I bet they can't quickly or easily provide one. But given the new wording I'm not going to submit anymore claims myself or bust their balls on it anymore.

No milwaukee box deal at my local store. And the nailer is still at .06.

Quite a few tile saws are on hand at the .03 price but I couldnt justify a need for one.

I did snag a 40amp CAT battery charger at the .03 price though. They had one tucked back behind everything in the clearance section.

This is actually the first time I have seen anything lower than .06 other than a few gallons of exterior sealer that they had advertised at a penny. The HDs around me seem to really be on top of things.... or I just **** at finding the deals I guess.

Only seeing .06 doesn't mean they are on top of things (though they might), but that indicates more to me that everything is snatched up as soon as it hits clearance in your area

Do you guys check your stores daily or what?

Been hoping for the 60" Milwaukee chest to come down some.

And what's up with the .03 and .06 comments?

ETA, hello from a new guy getting ready to close on his first house with an actual garage :rocker:

The .03 and .06 are price endings during the markdown process. It gives you an idea of how much an item is marked down and how long it will be at that price and where it might go next if it doesn't sell. A good thread is here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=295130

Im battling some right now as well. We definitely have Menards in the area. They wont even tell me exactly what the invalid reasons mean that are listed for each rebate.

Been almost 3 weeks now since ive started contacting them and they keep telling me to check back in 7-10 days. :eyecrazy:

That's just the nature of unethical rebates. They just deny and hope you give up.

edit: are you getting real amuhreecans or India?
