Help with Reed color, please?
I'd swear I've posted about this Reed 103S before, but can't find it. I'm starting the restoration and would like to repaint it the original color (or as close as a rattle-can can get). I'm sure it only has one coat of paint on it, and it looks to be original - but I'd feel better tapping into the collective guru-ness of GJ. It looks different in different light, so I've included pix in direct sunlight - the slightly bluish looking one, and by indoor incandescent lighting - the more yellowish one.
I'd appreciate if someone can point me at a brand & color of rattle can that will be close. It also looks almost like it's a wrinkle finish, but that might just be the roughness of the casting plus rust.
It came apart easily with just a spritz of WD40, and the dynamic jaw is in the e-tank right now.
All suggestions appreciated!
