I've been wanting to replace my old 3 ton engine hoist with one that folds up to save room. I've looked at the normal 2 ton fold up ones like Harbor Freight but I just never was fully happy with that style. I recently found the AC Hydraulic WJN10 and it's just what I've been looking for.

Only problem is they aren't cheap and it's hard to find them in the US. I got a quote from AME International for $875.00 plus $150.08 shipping from FL to NJ. I'm having trouble pulling the trigger for something I hardly ever use for that much money. The freight alone will almost buy a HF one. The argument my buddy gives me is that 99% of the time it's folded up and that's the biggest positive of this lift is how compact it folds. So I'm paying for it not being in the way. I am not the guy who borrows tools when I need them. I want my own stuff so when I need it I have it.
Should I just stop cheaping out and buy it or am I right for thinking this over so much? I like good quality tools and have no problem investing in them but for some reason this one has me thinking twice. Is there a cheaper place to buy one?
