I was tossing around the idea of building a pole barn to get my shop out of our attached garage, and this is 100% to a tee what I was picturing.

Subbed.

Place is coming along nicely! I wanted to do something like that for a floor coating...but like doing burnouts in the shop.

Where did you get your lift?

Any thoughts?

The guys who put the frame up did the calculations for the base so that I'm not sure on. I didn't use any stone under the floor just sand and fill dirt then concrete. No radiant heat but will be fully insulated.

Hahah I hear that! I bought it from a local dealer, a place called automotive lift and alignment.

Nice thread and photos, ready to start building my next barn and your thread was a help. When I turned my small barn (30x40) into a motorsport shop, I ran metal studs around the perimeter and dropped the ceiling using commercial drywall track. That way I ended up with perfectly level walls and ceiling. This also allowed me to gain R48 in the walls and ceiling which keeps it nice and temperate here in Michigan. I am in a T shirt in the winter when temp is set to 60 and it's always 10 degrees cooler in the summer.

Thanks great build by the way

Our garage is almost the same but garage doors in side wall instead of end

Getting ready to add lean two on side 12 by 30 for more space and add ceiling to existing therefore my question about lighting. Thanks for the response

Thanks for info on lights

Great build so far, getting ready to add lean too on mine 12 by 30 for more space and do inside ceiling as money allows. Our building is a copy of yours 30 by 40 but garage doors are on the side not the end. Our building needs power as well but once ceiling is in will install lights and go from there

That is a different pioneer, however I've heard great things about them too!

Next up is wall wiring and insulation. Hopefully in the next few weeks. It's nice to have space to work!
