SK SureGrip Torx driver set. T10-T40
View media item 69828I really like these SK hard handle screwdrivers, I've got a set of super long reach ones already from a past SK day and now have these to replace the **** set of torx screwdrivers I grabbed at HF a few years back.

Incredibly, 25$ shipped brand new.

Who knows?
Two items today:

Small pick set from Gearwrench replaces an old cheap set I had that had two of the four break and, finally, the X-frame SK metric set. Rarely do I get a new tool or set of tools to replace something that is functioning, but I've had my eye on these for a while, and sadly the answer to why I got them is "just because." The action on the wrenches feels like butter. Extremely smooth. Putting them to the test this weekend on a project on an old Volvo 240.

I'm a (semi) fan of the X-frames and a definite fan of old Volvo's. Long live the brick.

Didn't really need them.... but I wanted them

Nice! I use the mess out of mine.

I'd like to get a set of those.... I bought the wera ones of the sizes I needed for working on Stihl chainsaws, but I've been finding an annoying amount of torx fasteners on my gmc... And metric and imperial.... Gotta love the 90s...

Where'd you scored these for $25

I got them off Amazon from a seller called ZappySales. Looked shady but turned out to be legit. I think a few others managed to snag them as well. They are up to 45$ now direct from Amazon. They might show back up though from them.

Seems like a nice set so far. In particular for automotive the handles seem like they'd be a good choice. Very meaty to get a lot of torque.

This thing is awesome!!!

Sweet! Hope it works out well for you. I have yet to go to use the M12 and wish I had the M18.

i been wanting to get one of those to cut 3/4in plywood or to cut 2x8s to size. do you think it has the balls for that?

It should work for the plywood, and for the 2x8s it will cut it but you will have to make sure to go at the right pace. You can't just slam it through or the kick back detection will trigger and it will stop. I have cut 2x6's with the M12 before though and it did fine. The convenience of it is pretty incredible if you haven't had a cordless circular saw before, and at least for the M12 it is bogglingly quiet as well.

The handles on those SKs look like the same shape as my favorite set of MACs. I really wish everyone didn't go to the cushion grip handles....
The square mac, snapon, ect handles are my favorite for automotive work
And the wooden Macs and protos for everything else

Very, very nice looking finish on those Lisle filter sockets.

I got lucky and didnt need to buy a socket when I got my Ecotec. I already had all of Craftsman big 12pts (22-36 I think, and the ecotec uses 32mm) i just have to adapt it down and it is a tight clearance and tbh the specific filter socket would probably work better, but for one time a year what is an additional minute or so?

But to even things out, I had to buy a fluted filter socket for my truck since I cant get it 3/4 a turn by hand. I think next oil change will be the first time I use a filter socket to tighten. I had the Lisle Import filter remover that is supposed to remove anythng- butit wont tighten, it just loosens.

You can find the Lisle one for around $8.

If you are ever in a real pinch, I cut a 12pt socket in half, and then welded them together like a figure 8. Gives me a little extra reach. Slows down the process a little because you have to take it off every third of a turn, but it works well to get around various obstacles.
