Picked this up for under $60, heavy as can be, at least 50 lbs!
Two items today:
Small pick set from Gearwrench replaces an old cheap set I had that had two of the four break and, finally, the X-frame SK metric set. Rarely do I get a new tool or set of tools to replace something that is functioning, but I've had my eye on these for a while, and sadly the answer to why I got them is "just because." The action on the wrenches feels like butter. Extremely smooth. Putting them to the test this weekend on a project on an old Volvo 240.
Didn't really need them.... but I wanted them![]()
Isn't that half of all tool purchases?Didn't really need them.... but I wanted them![]()

Only half?..Isn't that half of all tool purchases? [emoji38]_hitti
SK SureGrip Torx driver set. T10-T40
View media item 69828I really like these SK hard handle screwdrivers, I've got a set of super long reach ones already from a past SK day and now have these to replace the **** set of torx screwdrivers I grabbed at HF a few years back.
Incredibly, 25$ shipped brand new.
Where'd you scored these for $25
I'd like to get a set of those.... I bought the wera ones of the sizes I needed for working on Stihl chainsaws, but I've been finding an annoying amount of torx fasteners on my gmc... And metric and imperial.... Gotta love the 90s...

Very, very nice looking finish on those Lisle filter sockets.
I got lucky and didnt need to buy a socket when I got my Ecotec. I already had all of Craftsman big 12pts (22-36 I think, and the ecotec uses 32mm) i just have to adapt it down and it is a tight clearance and tbh the specific filter socket would probably work better, but for one time a year what is an additional minute or so?
But to even things out, I had to buy a fluted filter socket for my truck since I cant get it 3/4 a turn by hand. I think next oil change will be the first time I use a filter socket to tighten. I had the Lisle Import filter remover that is supposed to remove anythng- butit wont tighten, it just loosens.
