I would ask $500 and wait a week or two. If it doesn't sell lower the price. It all depends on how much you want to get out it and how long you are willing to wait for a buyer. We've all seen the ads on CL that are up for 8-9 months dreaming for a high priced buyer. I think $500 would be a good start for an asking price. If very little interest take $450 if offered.
This is tangential to your question but I'd move the bench grinder or the oil + filter cartons. Imo the swarf created by the grinder should be nowhere near the oil side of an IC engine...
$700 might be high as $999 will get this at FF new witha warranty

Judging from the top of that tool cart, that grinder is only being stored there. Not used there.....

.... But if it has seen a lot of hard use and has a lot of wear on it, then it would be worth less than that.

I agree wholeheartedly. With a new compressor being less than $1K most people will walk away from a used compressor that someone wants to sell for nearly as much as the new one. I really don't think the majority of the people care all that much about quality, they care about cost more than anything else.Honestly with a person able to pick up a new 60 gallon for under $1k... It really depends on the market & population in your area...
I would think somewhere between $250-$500 depending on how patient you want to be.
If you can verify all the components are USA made, then closer to $500...

Additionally, unless someone is running a business that needs to use the compressor all day every day, they most likely don't need a really high quality compressor. I have had the same Craftsman single stage compressor for over 30 years and it still works just fine. I wouldn't call my Craftsman compressor the highest quality compressor around, but for my limited use it works just fine.
