Wheres the option "I'm practically broke and can't afford someone else to fix my ****" option?
This should be an option
Agree as well.
"Hi my name is Paul, I am a toolaholic"
If you don't like it, up yours.
"If it is something I am going to obsess about, I just buy the damn thing. Not buying it will literally waste countless hours of your life."
Very logical, I fully agree, saves a lot of time, though it does flatten the wallet.
Option 1 is I am a pro and i need it ,which is a good option. The other two are basically saying I am impulsive or I just like buying tools. If that is all you you are tying to learn about the members here, that's fine.
I mainly purchase my tools from harbor freight because:
- lifetime warranty
- not $30 per wratchet/socket
- store is a 5 minute drive from me
- don't have to chase down a truck to get a replacement
As a DIYer, driveway mechanic I don't foresee myself purchasing truck tools due to lack of space and funds.
I think this is a very good post, and Kudos to you for being patient. This is the OP you are talkin to for some perspective...
Yeah....More options.
Once upon a time people bought tools and fixed their own .............Fill in the blank.
I used to work fixing.........Fill in the blank.
We buy tools because that's where we come from.
Haha, you're the guy who's probably like "omfg bring back the manufacturing jobs to America!! Buy American only"
Nah my dude, I'm good. I'll buy from whomever I want to buy, and my wants are as you have listed. I'm not wasting my efing time to chase down the matco, snap on tool box like a freaking ice cream shop. I go to HFT because of the convenience, because I need the tool right then and there for the project I'm working on at my driveway, and because of the lifetime warranty.
Why did I go to HFT in the first place? Because I need a f*ing tool. I don't purchase impulsively and no way in hell will I purchase a tool truck tool for the price of my rent. Call me cheap, call me me unamerican, but I don't care.
Nice ad hominem. How about adding to the debate? Is TorKe short ****?

I'm not new here.YOu must be new here [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]
I have no issue recommending eurpean, japanese, or ROW production when appropriate to the situation. There is alot of uneven quality when you try to say buy and one BRAND or any one COO etc.
