So I see these from time to time in post on this forum. So what is the history behind them and general uses?
So you would use them for general lubrication. Would you have several with different grades of oil?

Here are some of mine. I try to only buy them if they are in very good shape and very cheap and still have a vintage label.
Drool......
I am amazed you can find Dymotape that still has adhesive that has not dried out. I have a couple of those labelers that I have not used for years. I long ago switched to P touch but I am a hoarder and have a few old tools for long gone stuff.Thank you... I appreciate it when people see the beauty in the stuff I like.
I probably have $10-15 into those 5.
I have very strict rules about buying them, because I see them so often. Like I said earlier in the thread, the condition has to be amazing and the price should be $3 or less. I would pay more $5-10 for a second Kroiler in as good or better condition.
I have a Goldenrod one, like FoxRacing showed earlier in the thread. It is the only one in my collection that I regret. It is a nice made in USA pump oiler. The design is better than the vintage ones, in that it is much more stable (the wide bottom is ideal). For the money I spent on it, I could have bought 3 beautiful vintage ones.
I label most with vintage 1/2" and 3/8" label makers.
