I used mine today to remove the generator from my 62 Willys and change the brushes. Very smooth backdrag...like butta!

Soon as mine showed up in the mail today, I was using it. Great ratchet so far. Glad I held out a bit rather than buying SnapOn a few months back.

Finally got mine today! Absolutely love the box art, too!

Wait a second, does your handle have knurling on it? I can't tell. Last pictures we saw, the green direction selector was gone and the handle had two sections of knurling. Yours has the green selector, but no knurling.

Did everyone receive a green selector with no knurling ratchet?

Some clarification for you guys on the SK Ratchets.

Turns out that the pics on the flyer were accurate and that the pics they sent me that I posted were of the prototype. :dunno:

So.......what this means is the ratchets are going to have the smooth handle with the green selector switch.

I will post pics of them when they arrive. Sorry for the confusion.

:see:

Used my new ratchet today at work on many jobs and it was great, smooth action and very well designed, length just right and balance is great. I will buy the other versions when they are available. I highly recommend this ratchet

It's been covered how they are not trying to compete with their distributors. A common approach by manufacturers. It does beg the question, why would anyone join the SK club? Club membership does not offer discounts that would make direct sales competitive with their distributors

Yeah I am one who joined. In hopes to build a decent tool selection for my 15 year old son over the next 3 years.

The ratchet is $92 - 25% (1 time)discount =$69 which is still more than Epstiens.

Nice video Jay. Postup some pictures of the internals if you have them. I saw video of it but I'm sure it'll be of value to this thread.

I'm a little strapped for cash otherwise i would , but has anyone thought of drilling out a screwdriver handle and inserting the new pear head into the handle and making it a hard handle ? can we get this done?

The brochure had regular length and long flex head for the three drive sizes. I don't remember seeing anything about a long non-flex.

Those and the new Proto 90 tooth ratchets look excellent, i'll have to see about sourcing one in the UK.
