Sawmaster DY360 Bandsaw - $150 (Whittier, CA)

Just posted 20mins ago, that is a steal. I hope someone jumps on this before the Bell Gardens dude gets it & tries flipping it for $800+.

Has the blade welder that he mentioned but now a days most won't need it and can then use a normal voltage. Since it's so cheap, it's a great candidate for a VFD.

"Sawmaster DY-360S
Cutting saw works great
Unsure what other things are on the left.
This was an asset that came from a sold business
Pickup only"

Well guess what, unfortunately everything we mentioned about the Bell Gardens Knob has once again become reality. Here's his ad flipping the same the bandsaw $750 that was posted here earlier on this thread for $150. I wonder if he's reading this thread?

Thick metal welding table & Columbian 404 Swivel Jaw Vise - $120 (Los Angeles)

I was going to jump on this but I don't have the space. The top looks thick 1/2"-3/4"? and flat and it has a nice Columbian 404 vise if its working properly, it might be bigger than a 404 its missing the locking pin for the swivel jaw but easy to make on a lathe. The vise alone typically sells for more, hard to tell size but looks big, Probably 4-5" jaws. Those are great vises to have and hard to find.

Ryobi BT3100 10" Table Saw & Base - $85 (Van Nuys, CA)

If your starting off or need a smaller table saw then this one could be a good candidate. They have a huge cult following and forum (http://www.sawdustzone.org/forum/discussions/bt3x00-related-discussions).
They have a sliding feed table and accepts a router, belt driven arbor, fence locks at both ends.

Review: http://www.newwoodworker.com/reviews/bt3100rvu.html

"Selling Ryobi BT3100 10" Table Saw System with Table Base Stand. Would like to sell by Mon 7/10/17.
Works great! Table saw is detached from stand for easy moving.

$85 CASH
Serious inquiries only!!!"

Would have been a nice user saw for one of us.
You know, anyone can buy a saw for $750.00 or $1000,00 and cut metal.
But for me, and I think a lot of us here, the cheaper we can put a tool into service, the more fun it is.

Yup, you're right. A really good bandsaw costs money but what ticks me off is that the Bell Gardens guy never does anything to the machine, clean it or even plugs them in to see if they work but he still asks really high prices that a really good machines in top working condition deserves. He doesn't even get them working and worse, have the moral compass to admit to a potential buyer that there's a problem with it, he doesn't tell that to the buyer and says as little as possible in order to get the sale. The quintessential used car salesman that everyone would laugh at if seen in the movies.

Admittedly, this is the first machine I seen he has cleaned but the lower tire is completely destroyed and seriously doubt it will work without replacing it which won't be an easy or cheap job compared to a 14" Delta BS. These are usually have the groove in tire and are not sold off the shelf; wouldn't be surprised if it's glued on.

He says the welder doesn't work but he wouldn't know that unless he plugged it into the required 440v three phase power to check it which I know he doesn't have.

The machines we post here for smoking hot low prices usually require some kind of love to get them up to speed but that's usually the best part. Since it's so cheap you're still ahead after fixing it up and making it your own.

End of rant

Everything for $26. A mish-mash of various 1/4, 3/8, & 1/2" drive tools, mostly sockets, both shallow and deep drive (I counted 77), some impacts in larger sizes; a couple Snap-On, some MAC, more Craftsman, some off-brand Taiwan stuff, a rusty but usable 3/8" Craftsman breaker bar, Burndy Y10 electrical crimping, stripping, cutting pliers, Utica 6" adj. wrench , several chisels & punches, 4 misc. taps, 7/8" & 13/16" combo wrenches, T30 torx 3/8" drive-male; adj oil filter wrench, a couple of hobby knives, various screwdrivers, some are pretty-beat, and will go into the yard sale box, and a bunch of combination wrenches that are sitting in vinegar to de-rust. The stuff in the larger picture all went overnight in vinegar, and then wire-brushed, cleaned-up well outside, but haven't done anything inside them other than to knock-out the loose chunks. Also came with a 18" Stack-On plastic tray/2-latch toolbox, tired, but functional.

Looks like the Burndy crimping/cutting/stripping pliers were worth the cost of everything. I'll probably get some HF 1/4, 3/8, 1/2" socket bars, and take all my spare loose sockets, and try to make up some complete sets of all the spares I've turned-up over time.

I have a John Deere model 68 rear-engine riding lawn mower I'm gonna show to a craigslist respondent who answered my ad. I got a newer Snapper rear-engine sit-down mower last year, and the Deere wouldn't fire-up yesterday when I tried to start it after installing a new plug. I think the coil is bad, and I'm not gonna spend $60 for a new one just to sell the rider for a couple hundred $.

Nice haul, but this thread is geared toward current craigslist deals that others might be interested in, not for what we scored.

Free-Blast Cabinet with what looks to be a Torit dust collector. "needs work"
SAn Francisco, CA Bay ARea
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/zip/6213604454.html

Tundruz,

You are correct, that is a Torit model 60 series Dust Collector and they usually sell for good money, more than a sand blaster which is a separate thing. Hopefully the dust collector goes with the blaster. They're rather practical for a small shop (bigger than a garage).

Good find

Oops! Sorry! I missed that. If a moderator wishes to re-locate this, please do.

At least the John Deere was posted where if someone wanted it, they could respond. And, this afternoon, I sold it.

This was the 1st time I tried the Vinegar cleaning method of rusty tools, and I was pleased with the results.

Nice haul, but this thread is geared toward current craigslist deals that others might be interested in, not for what we scored.

Rockwell-Delta Shaper... $1/Free- (Woodland Hills, CA)

Looks like a Delta Homecraft Shaper No. 43-110

Needs work but it's only for $1, hence free.

If it does need a spindle, it will either be No. 43-935 1/2" Spindle or No. 43-936 5/16" Spindle.

"Classic old wood shaper.
Motor runs great.
Reverse switch.
Missing a part...an important part...the spindle that holds the cutters. Can you find one? Most likely on Ebay or other vintage tool sites. But hey, its only a dollar...come and get it!

The rust on it is just surface rust...it comes right off with some steel wool or light sanding. My shop has a leaky roof...but again...its a buck!"

Let me help you with that:

"Original SNAP-ON TOOLS K70 roller kart 1932 - $230 (winston salem) "

"1932 Snap-On Tools work cart. All parts and pieces appear present, including an attachment for side of kart (not shown in phot. Condition is solid, surface could use some cleaning, and there is some minor rusting present but this could easily be addressed. Ready to use, or restore, or whatever. I have only washed it down (shown wet in photo) and wiped it dry and greased the drawer slides a bit. Otherwise, nothing has been done to the surface. "

Logan 1825 Quick change Engine Lathe - $550 (Downtown Los Angeles, CA)

Just posted and Great price if it checks out and needs a good cleaning, don't see much tooling but maybe it's sitting outside of picture frame.

"Wonderful logan lathe. Operable, was recently retired from an machine shop that rebuilt antique plane engines. Studio move forces quick sale. This is a spectacular deal."

Radio Shack 7 drawer Cabinets - $100 (Alhambra, CA)

These display cabinets come out of Radio Shack stores, I've had a of couple of them in the past, they're not bad.
Sounds like he has a bunch of them and will somewhat negotiate.

"Stackable metal cabinet. It has 7 drawers with dividers. Dividers can be removed and rearranged. I currently have 12 in my possession you can purchase individually or bundle for a cheaper price. I will not respond to low ballers but will negotiate"

Weren't those radio shack cabinets cheaper than that if bought when they were going out of business? I remember going to look at some and not being very happy with the quality. They didn't seem like they'd be good for anything too heavy like you'd expect from most of the tool/shop grade stuff we're used to.

Yes & no, These are certainly not Lista's or Vidmar's but work really well for small parts and fastner organization, they are specifically made for that and not for heavy tools; the slides are like typical tool box slides but more HD, not like a Lista slide. I bought some straight out a Radio Shack for less but there were 10 people behind me that were really bummed who missed out and trying to out bid me. It was a blow out but some stores sold them for much higher than other stores, it was at the discretion of the store manager.

Where this deal becomes really good is all the dividers and labels incorporated into it. If I did the same to my Lista's I would have to pay more for just all the organizing bins and labels needed for seven drawers. These cabinets with bins are selling for $14 a drawer before negotiating, compare that price to a Lista.

Yes, they are not better cabinets like Lista's but I had wished I had kept them after selling them. They would have been perfect for organizing all my small parts so I could use my Lista's for tooling. The metal gauge is also thicker than a typical Snap-On box. .050" avg. measured with a micrometer.

These are mine. I think they're a deal. No one else seems to. I no longer have any use for them. I have re-upped the ad so many times that the photos aren't attached any more. Thoughts welcome.

https://sacramento.craigslist.org/tls/6216913414.html

well,you did ask . . . . .

the people who understand the Proto brand likely already have them. the people you are addressing are looking for craftsman, because they are sure that they can take the rusty ones back and get new ones for free.

sorry, i realize you are trying to sell 13 tools for 100$ (7.70$ each), but offering to break them up for 20$ each seems like quite a jump.

maybe break them into smaller groups, for 7 something each, or offering them as singles for 10$ each.

but i fear you are fighting an uphill battle against an inferior foe . . . . ..

I have to agree with a52-830,

They're really not a set, several multiples. In order to be worthy in this thread "Deals on craigslist" I say they would have to be $5 or less for each. On eBay they typically sell for $5-$15 depending on size & demand (includes PayPal & eBay fee's). The price for the set won't excite anyone unless they need multiples of the same large wrench size. Not saying there not worth more but I see these all the time in swap meets and competing against all the $1-$3 craftsman & Allied wrenches. Also, not sure if members are allowed to post there own ad's in this thread?

I think those are all valid points. I appreciate the feedback. The $20 singles price is because it's not worth the effort to meet someone to sell them one wrench for eight bucks. But, your point is valid.

Macgee: I'm not especially trying to sell them to someone in here. Just wanted the feedback. But, there's not really anything preventing someone from sharing their own ads except their own honesty. Shrug.
