I ordered some too on 6-28. They made a label 7-5. My order is waiting to be picked up by UPS. Maybe it'll ship and get here this next week. :dunno:

PSA is notorious for slow shipping speeds. Add on all the other people on Arfcom who also bought some, the Shield rebate sales, and July 4th sales, it will be a while.

I stopped in PSA today to pick up my M&P Shield. They did not have any of the cans in the shop, but still had the signs up to order them.

 Basically same laws as NJ..... I have a NJ "modified" AR (10 rounds, pinned stock, no gas block, etc) and I would NOT even think about purchasing a unmodified out of state and bring it home. The bottom line is that a NJ registered fire arms holder can get in MAJOR trouble if they are caught with any "forbidden" firearms because they "know the law" as opposed as the "true criminal" who gets caught with a firearm and they get a slap on the wrist and probation. :gunfire: :bigun2:

FWIW! Firearm law violations are NOT something to mess with because it will ruin your life..... And even "IF" you have to defend yourself by shooting a home invader (inside your home) you will be arrested in NJ.

BTW! Kudos to PSA for shipping the cans to NJ :rocker:

15 Round limit for NJ,and BTW,you will need a gas block on your AR-15 in order for it to function properly...I think you might of meant no bayonet lug and you need a pinned and welded muzzle brake, along with a pinned fixed length stock..

As did mine. WTH am i going to do with them?!??!

Mine are scheduled for delivery today. Last night, over dinner, I said to my wife, "ummm, I've been meaning to tell you this...I've been wanting to get 2 or 3 more ammo cans, and last monday, I saw a deal on the GJ Hot Deals thread...."

She just shook her head. I stopped my explanation and said, "Honestly, I haven't lost my mind, but this purchase makes me wonder if I'm close".

Can't wait to figure out what the hell I'm going to do with a dozen!!!

I my house we have a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy. I just charge it on a credit card, she pays it. She doesn't ask and I don't tell.

I bought 2 dozen in hopes I can get all my uncased ammo in a Cans. Back in '06-07 with the potential change in the Federal Administration I heeded a good friends advise and procured a few rounds. Was one of the best moves I made. When things got tight I was selling rounds to friends of mine in LE for what I paid them (no profit) so they could still get some practice in. Also supplied a few youth shooting programs with donated 22LR rounds so they had something to play with.

Had a friend who had tons of ammo and owed me for a pair of hard to come by at the time Bead-Locks and he paid me in Ammo. Close to 10000 rounds of 9mm and 5.56.

Now my Cans are on back order. Hoping they ship soon. I just cleaned out some old cabinets that the ammo was in thinking the Cans will be here this week. Gave the Cabinets away to make space in the shop...oh well...

We're living the same life. Actually, when things started to get weird a few years ago, not only did my wife not ask questions, she completed her NRA Basic Pistol Course, acquired her carry permit, and a S&W Shield, along with my Ruger SP101, which I wasn't thrilled about  Still, the entire family shoots in harmony, so it's all good.

Pre-panic, I had literally just completed a spreadsheet of all ammo, scopes, etc. Partly because I wanted to insure everything. But also, I wanted to fill some gaps. Well, I filled gaps alright. I got so tired of trying to find certain 22 locally (even pre-panic our stores never had great selection), I ended up ordering online. We all know what that lead to...pun intended. I was stocking up by the case, figuring kids and some day grand kids. 22 was cheap and I was tired of shopping for it. Then the panic hit. I was overstocked for nearly everything.

During the "panic", I did as you did. Take whatever ammo you need and either replace it, or pay me what I paid it for it. No big deal. To be honest, I was never panicked. Just too lazy to shop for ammo later in life and I had the money and the space. Ammo doesn't go bad and never goes down in price. Heck, I'm shooting dad's shells from Kmart, 1972. Goes bang every time.

Hmm, these like the might be good for Li-ion and LiPo battery storage. I've been looking for something for LiPo batteries, figure they might be good for power tool packs as well. And some could go towards random project enclosures.

Or am I wrong?

I figure that if I have legitimate need for 4-5, it'll be worth it.

Nope, right on the money. You can use them for those as well as great storage options for the garage or house with items that always tend to get lost or disappear. I have one full of just old, crappy assorted sockets from cheap sets that I dont want to put in my tool box, but also dont want to get rid of bc that one time I lose or need a size, itll be in there.

Thanks!

I'm thinking it'll be better if I find someone local to split it with. 12 boxes seem like it'll be too much. I haven't bought one, usually opting for plastic boxes for general or sealed storage needs. So 12...? I'll sleep on it.

Deal's good until tomorrow.

This is a deal that in two years, no one will have regretted engaging.

It's a no-brainer.

That was my thought. I snap-called this one. Like ammo, if you store the boxes correctly, they don't go bad. I'm not a hug fan, because of the added weight, but they have their place/purpose.

Glad to hear everyone is taking advantage of this deal, and some people are already getting them in. Like I said, PSA is known for slow shipping, but as of late it can be hit or miss. I ordered 10 PMAGs a few weeks back, and they showed up in 3 days. But I have ordered ammo and waited a month for it.... It is hit or miss, but you will get your product, they are reputable.

Sorry to hear about the people who were not able to purchase due to the state they live in, unfortunate.

Hope ya'll enjoy, and as of this morning 7/13/2017, the deal appears to be still active.

The weight is negligible considering the benefits: sealed, protection from water vs cardboard box they come in, ability to carry a case of ammo, etc.

And I thought I had a lot of ammo! Some of that stuff there is pretty pricey.

LOL...for a while I had more Ammo than most Gun Shops. I buy a lot from auctions. Volume purchasing can keep the price per round way down. 1 site I was bidding on had no minimums for a long time. If I waited until all the "snipers" were off line I could get some deals I couldn't believe. I bought 500 rounds of Hornady A-Max 50 Cal for $1200.00 with free shipping.

Not to mention Federal is right up the road and I know a few people that work there. They were buying Ammo from the company store for pennies on the dollar. 3000 rounds of 5.56 for $150.00, 1000 rounds per plastic Bag.

I bought most of this 2004-2008. Those days of deals like I got are long gone.

On another side note, PSA normally runs these deals until they are sold out. So even though originally this was a 4th of July deal, it is most likely the price will stay the same until they sell out of them.

That's nothing,go AR15.com and check out the Ammo threads. This picture is amateur hour

Mine got here Thursday. Got them open and airing out on the front porch. I guess the deal is still going on because I received another email from PSA this morning. Still $90 and free shipping.

I've really been hoping that this deal would go away.

Noticed these (similar cans) are $12 a piece at walmart and $22 a piece at buds gun shop. Ive been trying to get someone at work to buy a few off of me since I really dont need to be spending $90 on ammo cans.. Sigh....

Mine arrived yesterday.

Want to see an ammo stockpile google "black blade" ammo stockpile. Then look at images. He has several tons.

Buy it cheap stack it deep.

A few years ago I bought 7.62x54R for the mosins. Price has doubled.

Check gun-deals website and then ammo by the round price.

I'm a regular for sgammo though often tempted by free shipping from other websites.

EXCELLENT ADVICE! ^^^^^^
BTW! A debit card is the "key" to your entire bank account!

The pin would be the key I beleive.

I guess I'd much rather give out my card # than a check, that contains my name, address, account # (not this is wildly popular anymore, aside from the person always in front of you at the grocery store). It seems a lot easier to open accounts that way, and do even more damage.

Does anyone have an idea how long before an ammo can starts to rust, when stored inside, but not climate controlled?

Got mine yesterday and all but three are now full of....towing chains, splitting wedges, conduit fittings, bulk SS screws, rechargeable batteries, garden connectors and nozzles, etc.. Sprayed a little silicone on the gaskets so they wouldn't stick and would be easier to open. All tucked neatly under my work bench. Great deal!

Apologies for any unintended links in this. Is this site using vigilink or do I have a gremlin to remove?

Shot all of it and then some at the Whittington Center in Raton NM back in 2014 at Long Range School. Only have a couple hundred rounds of A-Max left.

My buddy and I just put a bid in on 19000 rounds of Federal XM33. 1900 Ammo Cans @ 100 rounds each linked...now these I would part company with...not all but some.

At the 2011 NRA Convention in Charlotte there was a supplier there selling 50 Cal $1.50 per round. I bought 500 rounds. Shot clean but wasn't very accurate, maybe 3 MOA out of an M82A1 but it was fun letting newbies disassemble engines with it.

Watch that API...we almost lost our range to fire when one of the shooters bought some out. Tracers are just as bad.

I like the 50 round.

Now back on topic...my 2 cases of Cans showed up Tuesday. Loaded 2 Cans with Hornady 22-250's and based on the shelf space it created (minimal) I think I may need to order another 24 Cans.

This is GJ, im sure we can come up with a ton of ways to use 12 ammo boxes. I have had one for about 15 years and always wanted more. Now it will be fun to think of how I can find use for 12 more....cant wait!
