True that[emoji3] I need another box like a hole in my head but if you don't ask you don't get !
I heard back from the seller. She is going to the shop today and if its still there she will pull it and get me a shipping quote.

[emoji30] oh well it was just as well! I have been spending a ton on sweet craftsman stuff as of late. Please let me know if you decide to pass! I think shipping would be about $40

So give us an update! Are they able to ship it and at what price? Do I need to make the 8 hour trip to Boise just so you all can lament my luck?
Brian
Just heard back, 25 for the box and 40 to ship.
It's like it was frozen in time.. so BADASSARY!
There is some cool stuff in there.

It has a new home. I can use it to grow some weeds, this is Colorado after all.

My Blackhawk torpedo. About a year and a half ago I posted an inquiry on this site about it, then forgot the name of the forum. I found it this week. I am sorry if someone thought I was a troll.

My Blackhawk torpedo.
There are cars from the 'teen's up [many runners] and paraphernalia everywhere .... But just focused on this stuff this time ....
If anyone has any comments or experience with any of these units - I'm all ears ..

47-52 ishSun unit in first set looks like it was/is an engine ignition analyzer.
Exide unit is a charger/jump start box.

Man that's purdy!I ran into this machinists' chest at the flea market today. The condition was marvelous. So marvelous that I wondered if it might be a contemporary throwback or special anniversary thing. It has a Lufkin badge and transfer decal, and the hasp is also marked Lufkin. Too rich for my blood, but this is the first Lufkin and the first unused vintage machinists' chest I've ever seen in person (that's the original paperwork in the top compartment), so I snapped a few photos.
I purchased this Heritage era Craftsman cantilever box off CL for $20, today. This thing is a beast!

Everytime I see something on CL is see later here that you got it.
That Craftsman box is cool I recently picked up the Kennedy version of it that's why I passed. But it caught my eye and had me tempted even when it was $35.
Yet again nice score Brian!!
Now I don't know if I believe you.. His ad is still up and it says different Brian...... or is it Joe? [emoji38]Thank you! I wanted it when he first listed it, but not enough to pay $35. Once he reduced the price, it was an easy stop for me on my way to Antique Powerland this morning.

But in all seriousness having you around this area definitely keeps me on my toes. My tool budget just isn't a large as yours, so it's nice to see you getting Alot of the cool stuff from around here.![]()
Just bought this No. 895 Stanley Defiance Tool Cabinet with most of the original tools. I think it's from 1952 or 1953 based on the ads in Popular Mechanics from the time. It looks like it is missing a scraper, a wood chisel, hammer and a pipewrench.

Nice find! I've found some interesting tools at the local ReStore lately. There is an original ad for this set and the other Stanley sets on page 238 of the December 1950 Popular Mechanics on Google Books.I have been wondering for the past year what it was that I bought at ReStore, and you have now solved the mystery. Thank you!
BTW - Great acquisition!
